The school day went by quickly, but the drama still went on. As we made it to the garage where we practiced and goofed around, Luke was still bugging me to talk to him. "Roll, can we please go somewhere where I can explain what is happening between me, you, and Carrie." Luke was pleading for dear life so he wouldn't mess things up with the one person he wanted the most. "There is no me and you Luke. It's just you and Carrie. We are just bandmates, songwriters, and friends." Rochelle told him which made his pleading face sad. Luke held back the tears he wanted so much to cry. Did she mean that? Are we just friends after everything we went through together? Did I read into something that wasn't there? No, she is lying to me. She wants to be with me just as badly as I want to be with her. She is just hurt about the Carrie situation and I don't blame her. I just wish she would let me explain what is going on.

"Hey, Elle do you have the lyrics to your new song?" Alex asked with a smile because looking at every person in the room he could see that today was going to be off. "Yeah, I got it," Rochelle said as she went to hand everybody their music sheets. "As you guys can see I changed the choirs," Rochelle replied looking at the band, then again at Luke. They started rehearsing the rhythm and the Melody of the song first before they rehearsed the lyrics. "Ok guys I need a ten-minute break," Julie said after everyone's instruments stopped playing. "Yeah, me too. I need pizza." Reggie said while looking at the house. "For once I agree with Reggie. I didn't get to eat lunch at school today with all the drama." Alex said looking at the sources of his hunger. Rochelle simply said sorry while Luke looked at him weirdly. "Ok, I didn't get to finish my lunch. Anyway, are you guys coming or not?" Luke looked at Rochelle who was shaking her head no while sitting at the piano. And gave Alex the nod to go ahead without them.

"I read your lyrics, you express yourself well in them. Sorta like I do," Luke said with a small chuckle. Rochelle didn't do anything she just started playing a new song. Luke just stood there and listened. As she got to the end she looked up at Luke and started singing the last part to him.🎤 we were one song, now we're separate lyrics, the Melody is different, we found a new safe zone, someone else feels like home, the dreams we are destined to be. Together we won't reach, you're so far in the distance, never aligned with my seasons, we broke apart. "Wow," Luke said to Rochelle. "That sounds personal and like a break-up song. You just started hanging out with Chad. Not that I would care if you didn't hang out with the guy anymore. I personally don't like him." Rochelle got up to leave, as she got close to the garage exit she turned around and said, " You don't even know him. And at least he doesn't play with people's feelings." Luke looked at the ground and when he looked back up he saw Reggie greeting Fylnn with a kiss and a hug.

"So, what did I miss?" Flynn asked as Luke just went back to his guitar. "That good huh?" Flynn asked Reggie. "Honestly, I don't know what's going on. Everything is cool when we're playing music but when the music stops they are so distant. I don't know what Luke was thinking about choosing Carrie over Elle like that. Something is up and I will find out what." Reggie said curiously as he kissed a very confused Fylnn on the lips. "Ok, guys now that we energized ourselves let's do this," Alex yelled out with drumsticks in his hands. "What, where is Rochelle?" Julie asked. "Right here," Rochelle said as she walked in holding Chad's hand. Luke cringed at the sight of Chad holding his girl's hand. "Take a seat and let's start," Luke told Chad harshly while looking at Rochelle. Which made everyone look at him sourly. Rochelle liked that Luke was jealous and would play on his jealousy every chance she had for him hurting her the way he did.

The whole time they rehearsed songs that they already had then as they saw that it was getting late they decided to do the new song Rochelle wrote in first-period class that day. She politely pulled Chad's chair up a little closer to the stage and started singing her song. As the song was about to end she gently pulled Chad's hand and then got in front of him for a backwards hug. When the song was over Luke didn't say anything he just left. "What's his problem," Fylnn asked as she shook her head. "I don't know," Julie said as she ran after Luke. "Hey, Luke wait up," Luke turned around but he turned back around quickly to wipe his face. "What's up Julie," he faked a smile. "You know you made your choice she is trying to find a way to move on. She wants to be with you but you hurt her dummy. And why with Carrie of all people Luke?" Julie was trying to get answers. She knew Carrie wasn't Luke's type. "I wish I could tell you but I can't at least not right now. I need to figure things out. I want to be with her too Jules. I fell in love with her but I can't tell her that. We will never work out. No matter how much chemistry we have." Luke replied to Julie. "Who are you trying to convince me or yourself? She is my best friend and so are you. I just hate seeing you guys like this so figure it out," Julie said as she walked back to the garage.

As Julie headed back into the garage, she saw that Chad and Rochelle were saying their goodbyes, and heading her way, Rochelle stopped and hugged me then walked off with Chad to start their date.
