I didn't say anything to anyone when the bell rang. I just slowly grabbed my stuff and tried to process everything that happened to me in the first three and a half hours. When I wasn't watching where I was going and bumped into Chad. "Watch where you're going?" Chad said before turning around. "Sorry, Chad," I said with a smile. "Rochelle?" He smiled back. "No, I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you. Can I walk you to class?" Chad said as he said bye to his football friends. "Yeah, sure. I'm sorry about bumping into you." I said, not wanting to look at him. Chad has been my crush since childhood, and we never really crossed paths until this year.

"Stop apologizing. It was an accident, I mean, you didn't mean to bump into your crush since grade school in the hallway." Chad said with a huge smile on his face. All I could do was blush. How did he know? "I don't know what you're talking about," I said, still blushing. "Really, then why are you blushing then?" Chad said with a sexy grin. "Don't worry about it. I had a crush on you, too. I just didn't know how to approach the situation or you. You are not like the other girls. It was easy to tell them I would pick them up at 8 and be ready. But with you, it's hard for me to ask you out. I don't want to get rejected. Especially when everyone knows about you and the guitar guy in Julie's band." Chad said while running his fingers through his hair. "Well, he is into Carrie now, so, yeah," I said, feeling sad on the inside but not showing it to Chad.

"So are you free," Chad said as we reached our third period, which we shared with Alex. I just looked at him dazed with a flushed face. "Hey Elle," I heard Alex yell at me. "Hey," I said with Chad in front of me, waiting for an answer, and Alex on the side of me with a happy smile about something. Probably something about Willie. "Rochelle? Are you going to have me suffering for your answer here?" I laughed and looked at him then said, "What did you just ask me?" Chad smiled and said, "Are you free tonight for dinner and a movie of your choice?" I went quiet again just so I could make him sweat. "Yes, I would like that." You could tell he was happy. "Can I sit next to you in class?" I nodded yes, as Alex led the way into the classroom.

Alex sat on my left, and Chad sat on my right when we got into my favorite row in class. Between making silent jokes with Chad and sending notes to Alex about me and Chad and him and Willie. The class went by fast. Heading to the fourth period, I told Chad and Alex I had to drop the books I had off in my locker and change out my notebooks. So they decided to go with me since all of us had the same fourth period. "So how are the sitting arrangements going to work now that we are adding Chad?" Alex asked, reaching our fourth-period door. "Well, Chad will sit on my left, and Julie will sit on my right." I simply said. "But that was Luke's seat," Alex said, but it just pissed me off more about Luke and Carrie. "Well, Luke will be sitting by Carrie now since they are dating," I said to Alex, who looked confused.

Alex pulled out his phone, and when he looked up, he had a disapproving look on his face. "Let's get in there before Ms AppleBottom comes in and gives us detention." As we make our way to our seats. Julie was on the right as usual, and Chad sat on my left where Luke used to sit. When Luke came in with Carrie, he went straight to his seat and said to Chad. "You're in my seat, Chad." As he looked at both of us in a jealous boyfriend kind of way. "Actually, dude Rochelle wanted me to sit next to her. Why don't you sit next to Carrie? Aren't you guys a thing now?" Luke was about to say something but Mrs. AppleBottom came into the classroom and asked for Luke to take a seat or get detention. He walked to the seat that was open next to Carrie and sat down. But the whole class he was texting and watching Rochelle.

Watching her laugh and have fun with their friends and Chad the whole class. While he was stuck listening to Carrie and her friends talk about the one person he loved the most besides his bandmates and music and how Chad could do better. But Luke knew better. Rochelle was the perfect girl in his eyes and he knew he messed up excepting a date from Carrie. But only if the girl of his dreams knew the real reason he took the date with Carrie. It hurt his heart to see she moved on from him that quickly. Until she looked towards the back and he saw all the feelings that he felt for her in her eyes for him. He smiled and she just turned back around and joined in on the conversation with our friends. Before class was over I saw her writing in her songbook. That was a good sign she normally gets a song idea in this class when I'm next to her. She called me her inspiration. Maybe Chad is her inspiration now Luke thought to himself.

"Luke? Do you know the answer to this problem on the board?" Mrs AppleBottom asked feeling irritated with the last two rows. "No miss AppleBottom I don't," Luke said with a playful grin. "You know we have a test tomorrow Mr. Patterson." Luke just nodded his head. Then the bell rang and it was lunchtime.
