A few days later, Wendy arranged for Yoongi to come over. The anticipation hung heavy in the air, with everyone feeling a mix of hope and anxiety. Jimin and Hoseok had just finished breakfast with Wendy, and YN was in her room, unaware of the impending reunion.

Wendy called out to YN. "Sweetheart, can you come downstairs? There's someone here to see you."

YN, curious, came down the stairs, her eyes widening as she saw Hoseok standing beside their mom. "H-Hobi Hobi?" she stammered, tears immediately springing to her eyes.

Hoseok smiled gently. "Hi, YN-ah. It's been a long time."

YN ran to him, hugging him tightly. "I missed you so much, Oppa. Why didn't you come to see me?" she cried, her voice muffled against his chest.

Hoseok hugged her back, his own eyes misting. "I'm so sorry, YN. I missed you too, more than you can imagine."

Wendy watched the emotional reunion with a bittersweet expression, then turned as the doorbell rang. She took a deep breath, steadying herself before opening the door to Yoongi.

The moment their eyes met, it felt as if time had stood still. Yoongi's expression was unreadable, a mixture of hope and regret. "Wendy," he said softly.

"Yoongi," she replied, her voice wavering slightly. She stepped aside to let him in, and he entered the house he hadn't set foot in for six years.

As Yoongi entered the living room, he saw Hoseok and YN still embracing, and Jimin standing nearby, looking anxious. The sight of his children together, even if just for a moment, filled him with a sense of bittersweet joy.

"Hello, YN-ie," Yoongi said gently, trying to keep his emotions in check.

YN pulled away from Hoseok, wiping her tears as she looked at her father. "Dad," she said, her voice choked with emotion.

Yoongi smiled sadly. "It's been too long."

Wendy cleared her throat, trying to regain some composure. "Yoongi, why don't we talk in the kitchen? Give the kids some time together."

Yoongi nodded, and they moved to the kitchen, leaving the children in the living room.

Once in the kitchen, an awkward silence settled between Wendy and Yoongi. Finally, Wendy spoke up. "So much has happened, Yoongi. We need to figure out where to start."

Yoongi sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I know, Wendy. I never wanted it to be like this. I regret so much."

"Why didn't you reach out sooner?" Wendy asked, her voice filled with pain. "Why did you let our family fall apart?"

Yoongi looked at her, his eyes filled with regret. "I thought I was doing what was best. I was scared, Wendy. I thought I was protecting everyone by staying away."

"Protecting us? Or protecting yourself?" Wendy shot back, her anger bubbling to the surface. "Do you have any idea how much pain you caused? Not just to me, but to our children?"

Yoongi flinched, knowing her words were true. "I know, Wendy. I know. I was wrong. But I'm here now, and I want to make things right."

Wendy shook her head, tears welling up in her eyes. "I don't know if we can just pick up the pieces, Yoongi. It's not that simple."

"I understand that," Yoongi said softly. "But I want to try. For the kids. For us."

Meanwhile, in the living room, YN had finally calmed down, sitting between Hoseok and Jimin. "Oppa, I can't believe you're really here. I missed you so much."

"I missed you too, YN," Hoseok replied, holding her hand. "I'm sorry for everything. But I'm here now, and I want to make things right."

Jimin smiled, feeling a sense of hope for the first time in years. "We'll get through this together, as a family."

Back in the kitchen, Wendy took a deep breath, trying to gather her thoughts. "Yoongi, I need time. Time to process everything, to figure out how we move forward."

Yoongi nodded, understanding the weight of her words. "Take all the time you need, Wendy. I'm not going anywhere. I'm here for our kids, and for you, whenever you're ready."

Wendy wiped away her tears, her heart aching but hopeful. "Okay. Let's take this one step at a time."

As they rejoined the children in the living room, the atmosphere was tense but filled with a newfound sense of hope. They weren't a whole family yet, but they were taking the first steps towards healing, and that was a start.
