"Gayu thangam, seekram ezhndri maa! Mani 10 aaguthu!" shouted Gayathri's appa from the hall.
"Innum 5 mins paa." she said as she pulled the covers over her head.
"Iva sari pattu varamatta, naane poi ezhupuren. Irunga varen." said her amma as she stormed into her room.
"Ei! Eruma maadu, seekrama ezhndri di. Evlo nerama wait pannurathu, vitta ipadiye thoongikitte irupa pola. EZHUMBU!" she screamed loud enough to wake the whole street up.
Hearingthis Gayathri immediatelysat up straight and got out of bed before her amma did anything.
Gayathri's POV:
Enna paakuringa? En peru Gayathri. Idhu thaan en vaazhkkai. Thoongurathum, saapidrathum, college ku porathum, time iruntha friends oda sutharathum. Itha vida vera ethuvum illa en vaazhkkaila. 25 vayathu aaguthu. Eppo thaan kalyanam pannurathunu irukku, aana en vithi, innum onnum nadakkala.

I came out of my room wearing this. Today is Saturday so we will be going to the temple soon.
"Amma pasikudu, sapadu thaanga." I said rubbing my stomach with one hand.
"Inga vaa maa, vanthu utkaru, amma unakku sapadu kodupa." my appa said as he signalled for me to come sit next to him at the dining table.
"Enna di, vantha udane sapada?! Saami kumpidra pazhkom illaya? Podi, poi saami kumpidu vaa. Athukku piragu unakka sapadu tharalam." she said
"Ethukku maa, athane innaikku kovilukku porom. Anga kumpidalam tha-" I was cut off.
"Velukkumaru pinchindum, ozhunga poi saami kumpidu vaadi. Illa unakku innaiku sapadu illa." she said threateningly.
I guess this was my cue to leave and go to the pooja room. As I was walking, I could here my parents.
"En Parvathi Gayu oda sandapodura. Ava chinna puzhala?" he said.
"Hmm athane paathen, innum unga makazhukku supportukku varalenu. Neenga ipadiye thaalam thattikittu irunga, antha kazhuthaikku vizhangidum. Pesama irunthu saapidungu." she said in response.
This was enough to shut my appa up. I got to the pooja room and everything looked nice as usual. The lamps were lit up with fire bringing more beauty to it.

"Kadavule, seekrama ennukku oru nalla maapilaiya thedi kuddu. Anga vathu, athatvathu puhuntha veetulayavathu nimmathiya thoongi, ezhndrichu, saapidalam." I said as I clasped my hands together and prayed.
I left the pooja roomand went to where my parents were seated having breakfast.
"Amma ippo saapada podunga, seekram podunga, pasi thanga mudila." I said with my hand on my stomach.
"Vaadi va, vanthu seekrama saapadu, innaikku namma kovilukku poganum. Anga kovil thirruvuzhaa pathina vishiyangal pathi unga appa pesanum."she said as she put puri on my plate along with some masala curry.
"haii kovil thiruvuzhaavaa?" I asked smiling.
"Ama thangam, namma oor thiruvuzhaava romba sirappa kondadanum, athaan atha pathi pesa porom innaikku." my dad said smiling at my childishness.
Hearning this I sat up almost immediately and went to take a shower and brush my teeth. I went down after 15 mins.
"Morning maa, saapadu venum podu thanga." I said
"Vaa paa, vandu sapadu. Seekram ellarum saapidunga naanga oor panchaayathukku pohanum." amma said.
"Dei anna, ennada nee, appakitta pechu vangikittu ethuvum pannama irukura. Nee ozhunga velaikku pona thane engazkukkum ethachum nalla college la idam kedaikkum la?" said Dushara
"Ennadi, advice bucketa thookikittu vandhutiya? Podi angaala, naan velaikku pohama irunthalum unga renduperukkum oru nalla college la place kedaikkum." I replied
"Epdi?" they asked in unison
"College application mulam thaan." I replied.
"Poda panni. Ithellam engazhukku muthele theriyum." Haashini said rolling her eyes.
"Therinju thaana enkitta vanthu 'epdinu' ketinga?" I asked back.
