I left almost immediately after eating at Prabhu's house and I am definitely not lying when I say the food was good. Today was the thiruvizhaa! I am so excited..... these next 10 days are going to be pure joy and I just know it.
"Gayathri, nee innaikku muluhanum, naan thalaila ennai thechu viduren, vaa." My amma said
"Sari maa." I said and I quickly changed out of my pyjamas and into an underskirt. With that I ran to the rooftop and amma came a few minutes later with a pot of ennai.
She was rubbing the ennai on my head and it got in my eye
"Amma eriyuthu maa. Seekram thechu vidunga." I said
"Irudi, innum oru kinjam thaan." she said
"Maa mudila maa, seriya eriyuthu." I said
"Tch. Sari mudinchuthu, ezhumbu, poi muluhittu vaa, aa iru iru, unakku sandalwood paste onnu seithu vachchirukken atha eduthuttu varen." she said stopping me from leaving
"Tch, maa, eduthu kittu bathroom ku vaa maa. Kann eriyuthu." I said and left to go downstair and take a shower.
I got in the shower and washed my eyes cos they were burning quite a lot.
"Eii, kathava theradi, ulla vanthu in paste kuduthuttu poha, veetukku viranthaalinga vanthirukkanga." she said, I opened the door and she gave the paste and left.
I love the paste so much, it smells so nice.
*30 mins later*
I came out and there was a gorgeous half saree on the bed ready for me to wear so I quickly grabbed it and got ready, except I wasn't quite sure how to drape tha dupatta. Yes I know don't judge me, I'm 26 years old, still wearing half sarees, and not knowing how to drape the dupatta. So like any normal person I ran out the room asking my mother for help.
"Ahh." I heard gasps and turned to my right to see, Prabhu, Dushara and Haashini all sitting on the couch.
Prabhu with his mouth hanging and Dushara immediately closed their eyes and Prabhu's eyes as well.
"Dei anna, vaaya mudu, vaayakulla ee paranthirapothu." I could hear Dushara saying.
Feeling embarassed I run to my room and shout at my mum to come.
"Ennadi venum unakku?" she asked
"Help venum." I said holding out my dupatta
"26 vayathu aagiduchu innum onnayum ozhunga seiya theriyathu. Kalyanam pannaa piragu nee romba kashtapaduva." she said helping me with my dupatta.
"Thanks maa." I said
"Mm mm pothum, seekram vaa." she said.
I left my room feeling a little embarassed.

"Enna paakura, seekram vaa." my amma called and I followed her into the kitchen.
"Intha saapada poi hall ah vai, apdiye un appa kittayum ellai ya vaangittu vara sollu." she said
I took the pots one by one to the hall and told my dad to go get ellais for everyone to eat. Once he came back we all sat down to have some lunch.
"Saapadu epdi irukku?" my dad asked
"Super ah irukku aiyaa." Haashini answered
"Nallathu." He replied back.
The whole I was eating, I couldn't take my eyes off Prabhu, the hot specimen in front of me. All of a sudden, he looled up at me and I looked down at my food. Hopefully he didn't see me! 😅Soon I finished eating and went to the kitchen, soon Prabhu followed me in. He also washed his hands I was about to leave, but Prabhu grabbed my hand and pulled me between him and the counter. Just like that I was trapped.
"Ennadi saapdum pothu ennaye paaththukittu iruntha?" he asked
Aiyoo, maanam poche.
"Huh? Naan unna paakalaye!" I said
"Nee enna paakalaya?" He asked again laughing.
I just looked down embarassed.
"Summa solla koodathu, intha half saree la nee semmaya thandi irukka." he said making me look up at him with wide eyes.
"Huh, dei vidra, amma paaththa enna ammi kallu vachchu araichchu poduvanga." I said peeking behind him to make sure no one was coming.
"Ama, enna free show lam kaattura?" he asked again
"Neeyum un thangchiyum vanthirukkinganu ennaku epdi theriyum? Naan etho accident ah pannen, aana nee yenna ponneye paakkatha mathiri vaaya ahhvunu therunthu vachchiruntha?" I asked back
"Nee apdi vanthu nikkum pothu, un azhaga rasikka matangala?" he asked
"Rasikalam thaan, aana nee open ahla vachchu rasikkura." I joked
"Gayathri, Prabhu, seekram vanga." my amma called
"Itho varom maa." I shouted back
"Tch. Dei vidra naanga pohanum, illa nera kitchenukke vanthuduva en amma." I said hitting his chest.
"Athellam mudiyathu, ipadiye konja neram nippom." he said bringing his face close to my neck.
"Che poda, thaadi kaara payale." I said pulling his beard and pushing his chest
"Ss, ahh. Valikuthu di." he said rubbing his beard
"Pesama vaa." I said chuckling at him, walking out of the kitchen with him trailing after me, trying to figure what the hell just happened and why I let him do that considering we are not a couple.
Summa solla koodathu, naanga renduperum love pannave illa aana oru couple mathiri behave pannum pothu en vayaththukkula butterflies parakkura mathiri irukku. Etho onnu.
"Vanthuttingala? Sari vaanga naanga kovilukku povom. Thambi unga amma appa anga thaan nikkirangalam, athanaala neengalum enga koodaye vaanga." my mum said to Prabhu and his sisters.
"Aa sari maa." he said
Just like that we were off to the temple.
