Choi Y/N stood silently by the window, her gaze fixed on the bustling schoolyard below. From her vantage point, she observed the laughter, the chatter, the animated gestures of her classmates. She felt like an outsider, watching a world that she had never truly been a part of. To everyone at school, she was known as one of the "Scary Chois." Her stoic expression and aloof demeanor only reinforced this image. Yet, inside, she was anything but cold.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. Y/N packed her bag methodically, her movements precise and controlled. She stepped out of the classroom, her twin brother, Jongho, waiting for her by the door. Unlike her, Jongho was full of life and energy, his smile bright enough to light up any room.

"Ready to go?" he asked, slinging his arm around her shoulders. She nodded, a faint smile playing on her lips, reserved only for him.

As they walked home, Y/N listened to Jongho's animated recounting of his day. He had a way of making even the most mundane events sound exciting. It was one of the many things she loved about him. Jongho was her rock, her confidant. He was the only one who truly understood her, who saw past her icy exterior to the warmth within.

That evening, after dinner, Y/N retreated to her room. She sat at her desk, pulling out her diary. The pages were filled with her thoughts, her dreams, her secrets. It was a place where she could be herself without fear of judgment.

*Dear Diary,* she wrote, *Today was just like any other day. Jongho was his usual lively self, making everyone around him laugh. Sometimes I envy him. He makes it look so easy. But I know he has his struggles too. He always puts on a brave face for me. I'm grateful for him. I don't know what I would do without him.*

She paused, tapping the pen against her lips before continuing. *And then there's Yeosang. We've been friends forever, but lately, things feel different. He's grown up so much. He's kind, gentle, and incredibly handsome. My heart races every time he's near. But I can't tell him. What if he doesn't feel the same? What if it ruins everything?*

Closing her diary, Y/N sighed. She felt a mixture of relief and frustration. Writing her feelings down helped, but it didn't change the fact that she was still too afraid to express them out loud.

The next day, during lunch, Y/N sat with Jongho and their best friend, Kang Yeosang. The three of them had been inseparable since childhood. Yeosang was the calm to Jongho's storm, his presence soothing and reassuring.

"Hey, Y/N," Yeosang said, his voice soft. "How's it going?"

She looked up, meeting his eyes briefly before glancing away. "Fine," she replied quietly.

Jongho, sensing her discomfort, changed the subject. "So, Yeosang, you up for some basketball after school?"

"Sure," Yeosang agreed. "Y/N, you should join us."

She shook her head. "I'll watch."
As they played, Y/N sat on the bleachers, her eyes following Yeosang's movements. He was graceful and athletic, his every motion captivating. She admired him from afar, her feelings growing stronger with each passing day.

*Dear Diary,* she wrote that night, *Watching Yeosang today made my heart ache. He's so perfect. Sometimes I wonder if he sees me the way I see him. But then I remember who I am. The Scary Choi. Why would someone like him be interested in someone like me?*

Days turned into weeks, and Y/N continued to keep her feelings hidden. She cherished her moments with Jongho and Yeosang, even if they didn't know the depth of her emotions. It was enough, for now, to have them in her life.

But fate had a way of intervening when least expected.

One afternoon, Y/N accidentally left her diary open on her desk. She had been called downstairs and forgot to close it. Yeosang, who had come over to study with Jongho, wandered into her room looking for a book. His eyes fell on the open diary, and despite himself, he couldn't resist reading the words written on the page.
