Miranda woke up the next morning and took a shower. She ate breakfast slowly before going to work.

She tried to push what happened last night to the back of her mind and not think about Ben but it was plaguing her.

It still didn't stop her from looking at the coffee cart to see if he was there getting some or at the nurse's station. Pushing her thoughts aside she took her patient into surgery.

After surgery, Miranda took her scrub cap off and handed the nurse her chart. "Sooooo how was your date last night?" Callie asked.

Snapping her head up Miranda looked at her inquisitively. "How did you know I went on a date last night? I didn't tell you that."

"Oh, I know Ben did."

Miranda felt her heart leap in hope. "Ben's here. He came?" She asked quickly.

"No, he told me on Thursday. I was telling him that he should ask you out and he said that it was already done and you all were doing a movie night Saturday."

"Oh," Miranda’s face fell. "Have you seen him today?"

"No, actually I haven't seen him at all today. What's the matter?" Callie asked.

"Nothing... it's nothing,"

"Ohhh you gave him some?"

Miranda screwed her face up at Callie. "It's okay if you had sex with him and did the walk of shame. We have all done it. If he didn't show up today don't worry about it. He has to come back he works here."

"I don't care," Miranda snapped.

"Bailey I can assure you he is not ghosting you."

Miranda rolled her eyes. She didn't care about all that. She wanted to make sure the man wasn't a ghost for real.

"He really likes you. He asked me about your favorite color and what type of horror movie you preferred."

Miranda sighed because she was a horror movie for him. "Wait he was scheduled to come in because he was the anesthesiologist on my surgery today,"

"I need to go check on him," Miranda mumbled.

"He should be-

"He wasn't feeling well last night. So I'm going to go back over there to make sure he is good."

"Oh, you really like him."

Miranda couldn't tell Callie that this man was a vampire and she almost killed him. Nor could she explain her mortifying attraction to this man and why she felt connected.

It had been over 12 hours since she left him and she couldn't stop thinking about him. Her heart felt like it was pounding in her chest, urging her to go to him.

She was actually going to go to his house because something inside her had been restless since she'd left him and she wouldn't get any peace or be able to think straight.

She quickly took her white coat off and drove over to his house. Miranda knocked on the door a couple of times but she didn't receive a response. "Ben!" She shouted.

She thought she locked the door behind her but couldn't remember and tried the lock multiple times.

"Ben," she called out again.

She walked around to his back door and turned the nob. Surprised that it was open. "Ben," Miranda yelled walking inside. The sight before her made her stomach lurch.

"Oh my god Benjamin." Ben was still sprawled out on the living room floor lying in a pool of his own vomit  He looked weaker than when she left him. For a moment she froze, paralyzed at the sight and the fact that she did this to him. Tears immediately sprung to her eyes and she dropped down to help him.
