Miranda placed her back against the wall and blew out a breath. Why were they like magnets? Why did she long for him? And why was that a mind-blowing orgasm? It had to be because she hadn't had a release in almost two years.

Her divorce, separation, and problems in her marriage before it even reached those points hindered her from that luxury.

What was she gonna do now? She allowed him to bring her to the pinnacle of pleasure. She couldn't just ignore that.

He talked about mating her like everything was that simple. She was just getting out of a marriage and was supposedly already tied to someone for the rest of her life. A man that her mother would despise. Hell, she was supposed to despise him too, and that didn't go over well.

Miranda reached into her purse when her phone began to ring.

"Hey, momma,"

"Hey, Mandy. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, ma"

"Okay, whew, I have been worried about you ever since you told me about that thing."

"I've been cautious,"

"You haven't got rid of him yet?"

"No, I'm waiting for the right time,"

"Do you want me to handle it because I can pay-

"No!" Miranda yelled but brought herself back into focus. " I mean, no momma, I got it. I just need time. I'm studying him so I can know exactly when to strike. He's a doctor. I can't just off him and it not raise any suspicions." She changed up her tone and breathed.

"Okay, you know what's best. I trust you. But don't wait too long. You might be hunting him, but I guarantee he's hunting you too."

"I will be alert and ready." She assured her mother.

At work, Miranda placed her pager into her pocket and walked into the attending's lounge. She subconsciously looked around for Ben all day. It was probably best that she didn't see him, though. She didn't need to be reminded of last night, even though it was the only thing she's thought about. The creepy thing was that she had never given this man her address.

"Hey, Bailey, the group decided to mix ladies and guys night together. We are going bowling, you want to come?" Callie asked

"What day is this?" Miranda asked, scribbling in her chart.

"Friday," she answered.

"Okay, I can do that. I don't really like to bowl but I'll drink, eat and watch." She chuckled.

After work on Friday night, Miranda changed into jeans and a sweater. She was excited to actually hang out with her friends. They annoyed her sometimes but she enjoyed their company.

"Hey, Miranda, you made it," Callie called out, waving her over to the group sitting at the tables by the bowling lanes.

"Hey," Miranda smiled, and her eyes widened as Ben's bore into her. She saw Matthew wave, and she gave him a slight wave.

"Callie, can I speak to you for a second?" She asked, grabbing her arm.

"Yeah, sure,"

"Callie, you didn't think to tell me that the two men I went on a date with would be here." Miranda gritted, looking at her friend with harsh eyes.

"I knew that Mathew would be here. I didn't think that would be a big deal, but apparently Mark, Derek, and Owen are good friends with Ben. They go out to Joe's, and he has been with them at Derek's new house fixing the deck. Come on. I'm sure this will be fun, "
