Sereia's POV
I eyed him as I sorted through the files.
For some reason, I can't figure him out. It's like there isn't a romantic bone in his body.
His eyes were glued to the computer screen as he typed at the speed of light.
"You can sort them in your office you know," he repeated for the fourth time in an hour.
He really does not want me in here with him.
"I know, but I want to be close to you," I attempted to flirt.
He immediately stopped typing and turned his head to me. "Excuse me?"
I smiled. "To ask you which accounts you would like to keep, silly."
"Oh," he simply said before returning his attention to his computer.
"I do enjoy your company though," I lied. "You're really fun to be around."
He ignored me as he continued to type.
"When I was researching the company, you really stood out to me," I told him. "I love how you were able to take over the company at my age."
I finally grabbed his attention when he looked at me.
I smiled, but he sighed.
"Ms. Sinclair, please keep the chatter to a minimum. I need to concentrate. If you have any questions about the account you may interrupt me then."
I gritted my teeth when he looked on his computer screen again.
This is not why I worked my ass off in school.
A mere clerk could do the job he's given me.
Ten more minutes of silence passed between us before I found an account I wasn't sure about.
"Sir," I got up and walked to his desk.
I leaned over, ensuring my perked cleavage was calculated placed in his face. "Do you want to keep this one?"
His eyes moved directly from the screen to the paper.
He didn't even give me a glance.
His eyebrows furrowed as he clearly examined the file.
"You can keep it," he said as he handed me the file.
Just when he was about to return his gaze to the computer screen, I purposely dropped the file.
He watched me with a blank expression and I giggled.
"How clumsy of me," I said before bending over to pick it up.
I could feel the cold air against my ass and I hoped that this was the last time I had to do something as ridiculous as this.
I looked over my shoulder and he wasn't even looking. He had already returned his attention to his screen.
Frustration surged through my body.
Was he doing this on purpose or was he just bad at picking up clues?
I bit my tongue as I stood up straight.
"I'm going to take a five-minute break," I tried my best to mask my anger but he didn't move a muscle.
Did he even hear what I said?
"Sir?" I called out to him and he finally turned to attention to me.
"Huh?" he asked and I lost it.
I dropped the file on his desk before storming out.
I can't comprehend how someone as successful as he is could make it this far while being so socially unaware.
