Sereia's POV

T W O  D A Y S  L A T E R

After locking my car, I entered the Harrington Finance Group building.

There hasn't been any improvement with my father, so I figured it was time to get back to work.

My stomach fluttered when my eyes landed by him standing at the elevator.

He was dressed in an all-black suit as he checked his watch.

I hastened my steps and soon stood beside him.

He looked down at me with a slight, almost undetectable, smile. "Ms. Sinclair."

"Mr. Harrington," I replied with the same expression as we entered the elevator.

When the door closed, he pulled out a cup out of his bag and handed it to me.

"What?" I asked. "You want me to piss in it right here?"

He deadpanned. "No, I want you to go to the bathroom like a normal person. Someone should already be waiting in the bathroom for you."

"I'm clean," I told him.

He slowly brushed his thumb against my bottom lip. "Then you'll have no problems taking the test, hmmm?"

I slapped his hand off my lip. "You don't get to touch me like that. Not after how you treated me."

Guilt instantly flashed on his face. "Sereia, what can I do for you to forgive me."

"Look me in the eye and tell me that you don't feel anything towards me," I told him. "Tell me you don't want this."

He kept his mouth shut as he watched me.

The doors opened and I scoffed before taking a step forward.

He immediately held me back. "Sereia."

"What, Elliot?" I angrily snapped at him.

We hadn't talked about it since it happened and I was thankful because I was embarrassed.

Now, I'm just angry.

He opened his mouth but we were rudely interrupted before he could say anything.

"Hey guys," Olivia's voice cheered. "What's going on here?"

He dropped his hand from my arm.

I began to walk and ignored him calling me in the background.

When I reached the bathroom, there was already a young woman waiting in there for me.

"Ms. Sinclair?" she asked and I nodded.

I walked to the stall and began to close the door, but she stopped me.

"Can I get some privacy please?" I asked with attitude, still angry over Elliot.

"It's," she hesitated. "It's against company policies. People do all sorts of things nowadays."

I groaned as I watched her.

I couldn't blame anyone but myself for being in this situation. I dug my own grave.

"Do you want me to play some ocean sounds?" she asked politely.
