Y/n's POV
Earlier during practice, Gwen stormed out after the other bandmates pushed her past her limit. So i decided to follow her, finding her standing outside the school's gym where we were practicing.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid," she muttered, her hand stuffed into her pockets as she kicked a rock around, pacing back and forth.
Y/n: " Hey you okay?... "
I said in a low soft tone trying not to get her mad even more
Gwen: " I'm fine! "
she huffed, rolling her eyes before taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm her nerves.
Gwen: " They don't even understand what I'm going through. None of them do... They just treat me like some sort of freak, I get that they may want me in the band, but they just keep pushing and pushing... And not in the good way either."
She lets out a huff, finally turning to face me.
Y/n: " Gwen first off i want you to breath slowly and try to be calm I'll talk to you when yout stable kay? "
I said going to her side putting my hand on her back like how a mom would do to her Baby
Gwen: "O-Okay..."
She began taking deep breaths, slowly calming down. She didn't even notice my hand on her back, but once she did, a faint blush crossed her face, causing her to look up at me, her eyes narrowing.
Y/n: " so feeling better? "
Gwen: "Yeah... Thanks for checking in on me..."
she replied, taking a deep breath before speaking up again.
Gwen: "Why did you follow me outside?"
Our eyes met, and she immediately looked away, blushing slightly. I could tell that Gwen was feeling embarrassed about my kind gesture.
Y/n: " I'm just worried about you that's all...some might haven't realized but i know what your going through a hard time with your personal stuff not that I wanna know your business but i understand completely what your feeling right now....since people would mostly react like that if there going through sumthin "
Gwen looked down, clearly embarrassed. Your words echoed in her mind, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. You were right. She was hurting, and her friends hadn't noticed. Or if they had, they hadn't done anything about it. Your kind gesture only made matters worse, making her feel more emotional than she had anticipated.
Gwen: "Thank you," she managed to squeak out, still avoiding eye contact.
Y/n: " And don't be mad at them...not that I'm trying to side them it's just they try to push you cus they expect something from you cus your amazing gwen...even me whenever I play the guitar i would occasionally watch you and be amazed by how you would play the drums you know? "
Hearing your words, Gwen's frown slowly faded away. She couldn't help but feel slightly less angry toward her friends, albeit just by a little. However, your compliments made her feel like someone understood the frustration she was experiencing.
Gwen: "I just... I don't know. It's hard being in the band when they all seem to have more experience than me," she confessed, letting out a sigh. "I feel like I'm behind the rest of the group, like I'm not good enough."
