Chapter 2 (Meet the phantom)

"Whoa-whoa, yeah. You can't do a double suicide alone but you can do it with two people. Double suicide, double suicide, double suicide"

Dazai sang his typical song to himself while he walked down the street with a younger man with raven-black hair.

"Dazai-san! Please concentrate, we have a big problem here!"

Although he said that so that his role model was concentrated, the topic with Dazai and his suicide attempts was not entirely pleasant for him.

"Akutagawa. What upsets you so?" Dazai said in his childish voice, which formally yelled at one that there was a child standing in front of you.

Akutagawa sighed. "We have just learned that they will be there to stop us! How can you stay so calm? This is where the plan is at stake"

Akutagawa looked quite panicked, but Dazai answered him very calmly.

"Nah, I knew this was going to happen!"

Akutagawa already gave up. He knew that you could rely on Dazai, as childish as he behaved, he had a brain of a genius. And, as reluctant as Akutagawa admitted, that's why they had learned about it in the first place.

Ranpo had run ahead and could not hear or see the two behind them were doing. He ate his candy in peace.

Atsushi said and took the hand gratefully.

"Thanks to the listening device, we now know at least for sure that they will come."

Akutagawa sighed as he looked at Dazai who continued to buzz ahead of him.

"I think we should try the robbery some other time again Dazai-san!"

"What are you talking about?"

Dazai continued to say in his childish voice. Now he got a little more serious, but he still said the next sentence with a pleasant smile on his lips.

"We will steal the gem tomorrow night, we just have to rethink the plan a bit."

Akutagawa already knew that he had lost and set out with Dazai on his way to their base.

"They found the listening device."

"Perfect. So they know that we know. Then it will be twice as funny."

Dazai had his own way of practicing robberies and it already came to light during the preparation. He joked around and had the fun of his life.

Akutagawa preferred not to think about it, because a cold shiver ran down his back every time he thought about it.

His ability allows him to produce a black spirit. He can use this for anything: claws, spears? And more. But he can also defend himself with it by using it as a shield or armor. Honestly, not even Dazai knew how much Akutagawa could do because his ability could probably do so much more than it did right now.

"What else could you find out before they found the listening device?"

"In addition to detective Edogawa- Ranpo, Nakajima- Atsushi and Nakahara- Chuuya are also involved in this case. They will support the protection of the stone tonight."

"What about their abilities?"

"Nakajima has the ability to turn into a tiger. This includes regeneration of entire body parts and the possibility of transforming parts of his body into those of a tiger. This gives him the opportunity to use the power of a tiger."

Akutagawa was surprised by this. Normally, Dazai was almost never worried about a ability, why now?

Akutagawa sighed. He knew that Dazai would not wear anything else then his usual outfit, no matter what he would say.

Akutagawa did not care about it any further and simply made his way to the museum, ready to do his part to the robbery.

Akutagawa already knew: This would be a long night!
