"Miss Foster!" Mr. Sweeney's voice rang out. Oh boy. Sophie had just gotten busted for using her iPod. And Avery couldn't blame her. It was loud here. She hadn't realized there would be so many people here. "Sorry, Mr. Sweeney.." She mumbled. "If listening to your music is so important, then why don't you tell the class about the Stegosaurus?" Avery snorted. Both Sophie and Avery had photographic memory so this was less of a punishment for Sophie, and more of an embarrassment for Mr. Sweeney. And of course, Sophie recited it perfectly. Mr. Sweeney's face turned red and he ushered everyone to the next room. Avery stayed back with Sophie. "Hey Sophie. Look what I got!" She dangled the iPod in front of Sophie. "Thanks Avery." Sophie tried to grab the iPod, but Avery yanked it away. "Hey! Avery.. give those back!" Sophie said. "Nope. Not until you tell whats going on." Sophie backed off. "I don't know what you're talking about." She mumbled. "Yeah right." Avery scoffed. "I know you're hiding something from me." Avery said. "Can we please just talk about this later?" Sophie begged. "When is later?" She asked. "I-i don't know. I mean, you could maybe come over to my house later?" Sophie suggested. She had never actually gone over to her house. "Huh. Sure! I've never been there before. If your parents are okay with it, I'd love to!" She noticed Sophie looking behind Avery. "Is something wrong?" Avery looked over and saw someone reading the headline article. Two genius girls reject Yale, go to local University instead. Then he looked straight at them. He started to walk over to us. "Uh, Soph. Do you know that guy?" Avery asked nervously. "Uh.. n-nope. Maybe they're just a tourist?" He walked over and asked "Are those pictures of you two?" He asked. "U-uhm, yes? Who are you?" Avery asked. "I'm Fitz. I didn't realize you had different eye colors.." He said. Then she saw Sophie's face. A face of shock and fear. "Sophie? What happened?" She asked. "I-i can't hear him.. hi-his.. I can't hear them." Sophie stuttered. "What." Avery had completely forgotten that the other boy was there. "Sophie. What are you talking about?" He asked. "Hey! How do you know her name?" Suddenly, a giant group of kindergartners came barreling in. Squealing, laughing, shouting. It was very overwhelming. She covered her ears, but Sophie went for her temples. And so did the boy. "Uh- what. What are you doing?" Avery asked. Sophie gasped and stumbled back. "Sophie. Calm down. We've been looking for you for 12 years."
