the next morning

i have been up for a while, setting up the twins clothes and such. i heard footsteps coming up the stairs, it was daryl. i stopped what i was doing, daryl then came to the cell.

he speaks" me and some of the group are going in the tunnels to find the cafeteria. Here's the keys." he hands me the keys I told him thanks, and he left, I thought for a moment. Why did he tell me? I shook the thoughts, and went downstairs, I saw Rick, Daryl,tdog and hershel around a table looking at the things that they got from the lurkers they killed. I went to Hershel and ask" would you mind checking the twins?" He nodded. We went upstairs in Sophia's and my room. I sit on the bed.

He asks" you okay?" I took a breath and let it out. "Well..I have been feeling the twins move around a lot. And then today they stopped." The tears came down my face" what if they died from all of the moving or worse? I don't know what to do." I say through the tears.

Hershel looks up at me "Ophelia, the twins are okay. For now, there just getting into position. Your babies will be here when they will be. Your like a daughter to me." I smiled and nodded. "Thanks. What should I do?" Hershel thinks for a moment and speaks "well you can go outside and make sure the horse is okay and just keep on watch. " I nodded. And then carol came in and she speaks"sorry to steal Hershel, but Lori needs you." Hershel gets up and looks at me. "Take it easy, don't do much." And with that he leaves and goes to Lori.

I get up from the bed and I rub my belly I whisper" you both better be okay. And they kinda moved. I went downstairs and looked for beth or Sophia to see if they wanna come outside. Beth was with Maggie I was looking in the cells. And spotted Sophia and Cari talking about something. I walk in the cells. And Sophia sees me  "Ophelia!" Her eyes light up with happiness. I waved to her." I'm going outside to keep watch and see if shiny coat is alright. "Sophia looks towards Carl and says" I'm with Ophelia, Sorry Carl she gets up from the bed.

Now, the group is standing in the hallway. And they are putting some gear on. Carl had a helmet on, and then Rick speaks" you won't need that. I need you to stay put."

Carl responds" you're kidding." "We don't know what's in there. Something goes wrong, you could be the last man standing. I need you to handle things here." Carl agrees.

I walk up towards them handing Carl the keys. And look at Rick" me and Sophia are going outside. We're keeping watch. And if anything happens, I can handle it myself okay?" Rick nods and looks towards Daryl. Daryl then looks at me" be careful." I did the thumbs up.

"Great. Let's go." Rick says.

Me and the group go our separate ways. I went up to the sliding door and opened it. The sun came through, I adjusted my eyes and walked out. Sophia right be hind me. Sophia and I closed the door back. I look down at her as she looks up at me " you ready to watch?" Sophia nods happily" okay, then we went to the tower where Hershel and Carl went. I opened the door. I looked up the stairs, "I should go first" I say to Sophia, she says ok. I climbed up the stairs, taking my time. I don't recommend climbing up the stairs when you're literally 9 months pregnant. Anyways, I got up to the top and opened the latch, Sophia, it's okay to come up now" I yelled, and she yells back ok.

I could hear her footsteps coming up the ladder. As she got up to the top I grabbed her hand and pulled her up

I started breathing heavy, Sophia asks" you okay?" i nodded and said yes

After catching my breath, I stood up and looked. I could see shiny coat laying down, she looks happier. I grabbed the binoculars and I started looking at few things.

A few hours pass by

Sophia got tired and went back inside of the prison. I was putting my sword back on my back, I opened the door and then took my time going down the ladder. I finally got to the end of it and opened the door. I went back inside of the prison, and went back upstairs to the cell, and laid down on the bed, and dozed off.
