After we got coffee Jack drove us to Kacie and Harveys flat. As we pull up I try to open the door and Jack lightly slaps my thigh. "What, I can't be humbled now?" I laugh. "Oh you most definitely can, just on the days I choose, so not today. Jackson wouldn't be very happy with his old man if I did." He says making me smile sadly, which he mirrors.
"You're not that old, yet." I joke to lighten the mood, it works and he gets out and opens the door for me before holding his hand out which I take. "Im glad they made it." I say as we walk up to the door, Jack uses his key and we enter the building. "Yeah, they deserve it though." He says making me nod as we enter the lift. "They've done it the healthy way though." I say making him laugh.
"Hey, this friendship so far has been healthy." He says making me jab him playfully before we stop at the fourth floor. "Four day record." I stick my tongue out which he copies as I knock the door and Kacie instantly opens the door, like she was waiting at it for us. "I have been waiting to have you in my arms and my home for four years." She instantly took me into her arms and holds me close. "Im really here sadness, you can stop trying to kill me now." I say making Jack and Harvey laugh as she pulls away and holds my face and smiles sadly before hugging me again. "Lets go have a chat, you two can take extra long to make us some drinks, Ivy's is still the same." She smiles at Jack as she leads me out to the balcony where I grab the straights I bought at the petrol station on the way back from the cemetery.
"Want one?" I ask making her kiss her teeth. "I'll wait and see how much what you tell me pisses me off." She replies making me laugh before lighting it. "Nothing to be pissed off about, more... sad." I say making her rub my knee. "You wanna go into detail?" She asks making me shrug. "We spoke about us, how we still found comfort in each other the past seven years, how we have shared experiences about our necklaces and then about the future." I say making her nod. "Who's future?" She asks making me gulp.
"He still wants a future of us." I say making her nod and lick her lips. "That doesn't surprise me, that boy never let go of it." She says making me flip my hair to the other side of my head. "Not once?" I ask, knowing its not true and she nods. "Well yeah, so did you, but the same thing happened to the both of you ." She replies confusing me. "When you came back, you both felt it. He just admitted it." She says making me smile and kiss my teeth. "He always does." She smirks before the sliding door opens and the boys join us with the drinks.
"Enough time dear?" Harvey smiles sarcastically as he hands her the drink. "Wheres the ice?" She asks copying the sarcasm before he kisses her. "It's March." He replies. "Girls dont care man, Ivy got an iced latte when we went to get coffee." Jack says making me smile proudly before Kace high fives me. "The cold dont scare us, we're no pussy's. Plus we grew up wearing crop tops and mini skirts at the park getting drunk all winter." Kace says making me nod as the boys raise their brows at each other before smiling and shaking their heads.
"I've gotta say Ivy, I never thought i'd see this." Harvey says making me smile and tilt my head. "What?" I ask. "Well firstly, seeing you up here again, secondly in our flat and most importantly sat in Birmingham, in our flat with Jack Paynoo." He says making me smile and look at Jack to see him watching me. "We've all grown up since then." I smile.
"Good thing you two aren't together cause a footballer and a grammy winner as a couple compared to me and Kace, we're broke as shit." Harvey says making us all laugh. "Plus our kids get two lots of expensive presents." Harvey laughs and Kacie jabs him in the stomach with her elbow. "Wrong time, sorry yous." He smiles sadly but I just smile and rub his shoulder. "I'll never miss how slow you are sometimes." My reply makes Kacie and Jack laugh and Harvey joins in and gives me a side hug. "Ive never been allowed to hug you like this in front of Jack so I'm gonna maker the most of it." He says with his arm around my shoulder and rests his head on mine. "Kace dont get jealous, but you still do boy." Harvey smiles at Jack who just smirks and shakes his head.
"I'm surprised Kace aint left ya for Ivy to be honest." Jack says making me and Kace laugh. "Bro she tried, so I put a deposit on this flat." He sticks his tongue out making us all laugh. "Well that and I can't leave my oldies at the home and move to New York." Kacie says making me smile. "Well, im selling my apartment." I say making Kacie and Harvey look at me shocked but Jack just smiles. "You coming back to England?" Kace smiles excitedly. "Yeah, if Chase needs me for long periods of time I can just stay with him." I smile and Kacie hugs me tight.
"Don't make him jealous again Ivy." Harvey jokes. "He knows about Hannah." I roll my eyes before putting my cig out. "Speak of the devils, i'll be back in a second." I stand up and answer Chases FaceTime. "Hello flower." I smile at him as I walk into the kitchen. "Hey treacle." He grins. "Hows things today?" He asks making me nod. "Yeah good, Jack and I went to the grave, it's beautiful." I say making him smile. "I bet, mama Mads and mama Jules made it look amazing." He says making me nod. "How was it with Jack?" He smirks making me roll my eyes.
"I will go into depth with you and Han later, but it was good, we got a lot of our chests." I say making him smirk. "Anything else?" He wiggles his brows making me laugh. "None of your business, knob." I say making him laugh. "Doll?" I hear jack call out so I poke my head out of the kitchen and smile. "Wanna say hi?" I smile. "To who?" He asks as he hops onto the kitchen top opposite me. "Chase." I say making him look unsure but nodding. "You alright mate?" Chase smiles. " Yeah i'm good man, you?" He nods but I know there's something else he wants to say. "Congrats on the Grammy by the way." He says making Chase chuckle. "Thanks man, you taking good care of Ivy?" Chase asks making Jack look at me and I smile, making relief fill his eyes. "When she lets me." Jacks reply makes them both laugh and I roll my eyes and turn the phone back to me.
"Im off, tell Han I love you both and I'll call you later." I say making him salute. "We love you too, good to meet you Jack." He nods. "You too man." Jack replies before I hang up and sigh. "You okay?" Jack tilts his head at me. "Always." I force a smile and he shakes his head and jumps off the counter top and pulls me into his arms. "You miss him?" He asks making me shake my head and hug him tighter. "Yeah but that's not it, I barley see him and I FaceTime him everyday. It's just today, I'm tired." I say making him kiss the top of my head. "Wanna head home?" He asks making me look up at him and chuckle. "I dont technically have one in this country." I say making him nod.
"You know you have like eight places you would be welcomed with open arms." He says making me shrug. "It's just not the same." I say making him nod. "Where do you wanna go?" He asks as I look into his eyes. "I just wanna stay like this a little longer." I whisper as I rest my head on his chest and he rests his head on mine and sways lightly.
