*Scene opens on Glom, where it is early in the night. We see that John, Paul, and George are finishing playing "If I Fell". The Glommite crowd in front of them is mostly asleep, with only two Glommites being awake. However, it is very clear that those Glommites will fall asleep not too long after the song is over. George is the one currently singing, and he is barely managing to avoid falling asleep.*

George: *singing* A-and that she will... W-will cry, when she learns we are... we are two. I-if I feel in love w-with you...

*The Glommite crowd is silent, and the two awake Glommites smile as the song ends. They lay on the ground and close their eyes, clearly intending on going to sleep. George lets his guitar fall to the ground as he looks over the entire crowd.*

George: F-finally... I c-can sleep.

*George falls backwards onto the ground and immediately falls asleep. Paul stares at him, placing his bass on the ground.*

Paul: C-can't believe it... A-another hour of sleep. It c-can't come fast enough...

*Paul sits on the ground, rubbing his eyes. John also sits down, yawning and placing his guitar at his side. He turns his head, only to see the Leader walking towards the hill. John grunts and Paul closes his eyes and lowers his head. The Leader walks up to them, looking unimpressed.*

Leader: So... I think you all remember the little fight I had to break up?

John: Yes...

Leader: Good. And, I've been listening to you three play for all of today, and... Just to be honest, I really don't like all the pauses and mistakes you've been making.

*Paul looks up at her, trying to not act agitated.*

Paul: Yes, and your point?

*The Leader huffs, crossing two of her arms and smirking.*

Leader: Well, if you ask me, playing badly is worse than not playing at all. My subjects want to hear you at your best.

John: They were still happy to hear us... They c-cheered, right?

*Paul takes a moment to think about the pauses they had in between songs. He remembers hearing cheering, but can't be sure if there had been less of it today than there had been on previous days.*

Paul: Some, at least...

Leader: Yeah, some. You really didn't notice that only half of them were doing that for all of this day?

*John lays in his back and sighs, closing his eyes.*

John: What's your point?

*The Leader looks at John, standing tall.*

Leader: Well, given the fight and your lackluster performance today... I don't think you deserve to have your hour of rest.

Paul: W-what?

*John sits up, his eyes shooting open.*

John: You... You c-can't be serious.

Leader: Yes, I am serious. I told all of you that losing your hour of sleep for at least one night was going to be a light punishment.

*The Leader looks over at George, who is still fast asleep. She grabs him with one of her hands and shakes him awake.*

George: Mmm... Ay... Ay, what's going on?

Leader: Long story short, I've decided that you three have lost your hour of sleep for tonight, at the very least.

George: WHAT?! WHY!?
