𝕄𝕒𝕪 𝟙𝟛𝕥𝕙, 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟛, 𖡡 𝕍𝕚𝕝𝕟𝕚𝕦𝕤, 𝕃𝕚𝕥𝕙𝕦𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕒
I got woken up by a text, sleepily my hand reached for my phone that lay on my nightstand. My eyes were still half-closed as I looked at the notification, and a smile appeared on my face. Richard, his name causing a warmth to flow through me.
:Richard (09:04 AM) "Morning, Johanna. Hope you slept well," the message read. I felt a flutter in my chest and quickly typed a reply.
(09:05 AM) Anna: Good morning! I did, thanks. How about you?
I stretched, feeling the remnants of sleep fade away, and glanced around the room. Lea and Aurora were still asleep, their forms barely visible under the blankets. Last night we ended up hanging in our room and drinking. a bit to celebrate the sucseful first test run. Aurora ended up crashing with Lea in the same bed. It was a rare day off, and the hotel room was blissfully quiet.
Just as I was about to drift back to sleep, Lea stirred and rolled over, her eyes fluttering open. "Morning, Anna," she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep. "Who are you texting so early?"
"Richard," I replied, trying to keep my voice casual but unable to hide the smile in my tone.
Lea perked up instantly, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Richard, huh? What's he saying?"
"Just a good morning text," I said, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks.
Aurora yawned and stretched as she peeked out from behind Lea, joining the conversation. "So, what's the plan for today? We have the day off, remember?"
Lea's eyes sparkled with excitement. "We should do something fun! We can try on what we're gonna put on tomorrow, experiment with some makeup? I have this really pretty dark green dress I'm so excited to wear."
I felt a pang of anxiety as I realized my wardrobe for the event was sorely lacking. "That sounds great, but I just realized I didn't pack anything suitable for the formal event tomorrow," I admitted, my voice tinged with worry.
Aurora raised an eyebrow and grinned. "Well, that settles it then. We're going shopping! We need to get you something amazing to wear."
Lea nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely! We'll find you something perfect, Anna. Besides, it'll be fun to spend the day together. We haven't had much girl time lately."
I couldn't help but smile at their enthusiasm. "Alright, let's do it. A shopping day it is."
We quickly got ready, the room buzzing with excitement. As we headed out, we made a quick stop by the hotel's breakfast serving to grab a couple of things to snack on for our trip downtown. Aurora snagged a few pastries, while Lea filled a small bag with fruit and some bottled water. I grabbed a couple of croissants, enjoying the smell of freshly baked bread.
