Y/NS POV Okay so boom, we at da club now and I still can't seem to get my mind off of Paige and I's interaction. I know that if I didn't have this mindset about Paige and view her this way, I wouldn't be overthinking the situation but I am. I know that if I wanna get my mind off of her, I need a shot..or two...or three.
"HEY KK" I scream over the music.
"WASSUP GIRLY POP" she comes closer to me.
"SHOTS"
She backs up and looks at me with a confused face. "GIRL BOO WE JUST GOT HERE" she points at the floor.
I try to think of an excuse. "WE GOT A GAME TOMORROW, WOULD U RATHER FALL ASLEEP TIPSY OR HELLA DRUNK WITH A HANGOVER" now that's partially true. We're taking the risk and drinking the night before our game and I'd rather not lose because of some damn alcohol.
"YOU RIGHT, EVERYONE COME" kk then gets everyone's attention to take a shot. "THIS FIRST ONE'S ON ME".
"KK ITS EARLY" Ice screams.
"NAH TRUST" she screams back.
Nika and Paige were the last few people to join the group. Nika comes up from my side to grab a shot and smiles at me. Paige stands from behind me and does the same thing. I feel my cheeks blush due to how close she is to me. I don't mind, im just extremely nervous.
"CHEERS TO OUR DUB AND TO MORE TO COME" Paige screams. We all woo, cheers, tap our shots on the table, and down our shot. I feel the warm tequila make its way down my throat as I slide the shot glass back on the table. I make a hard grimace face along with everyone else on the team and chase my shot with an iced coca cola. Yes I'm a lightweight, but I always tell myself that im saving money to have fun.
"God damn" Paige says as she sips on her Sprite. I look up at her and signal her a high five, still sipping my drink. She slaps my hand and all of a sudden we hear
"ANOTHER SHOT" kk screams.
"YO" I scream in shock? Girl we just took one??
"NO CAUSE YOURE RIGHT, Y/N. WE GOTTA GET DRUNK NOW SO NOW OR NEVER" kk orders more shots. Everyone looks at me with wide eyes.
This backfired so bad.
"NAH YALL I SAID WE GET DRUNK EARLY IN THE NIGHT NOT NOW" I start backing myself up cause I am NOT about to get attack for this, im in shock too, a back to back shot? I ain't goin make it.
"Y/NNNN" Aubrey whines.
"I SWEAR I DIDNT SAY THAT-"
"COME ON YALL GET LOOSE" kk screams as she reveals the row of shots.
"SHE LOWKEY RIGHT" Aaliyah screams.
We all nod and grab a shot, same as before and we're two shots in.
