PAIGES POV I take my helmet off and strap it to my gear, already tried of wearing that. I'm already missing the zip line because Coach Geno was right, we needed to touch grass. The greenery is so fresh and the waterfall looked untouched and that was probably why I adored it so much.
I look around to get a closer look at the trees and it just looks...healthy? I don't know how to explain it, just beautiful. I then look directly across me and already spot another person slowly making their way to the me on the zip line.
I can immediately tell it's Y/n. She's taking in the view as much as I was, constantly glimpsing from one side to another. I can't help but stare at her and admire how perfect she is peering at her surroundings.
"Is she your girlfriend?" The conductor looks at me and asks. It breaks my attention and I look back at her.
"Oh uhm-"
"Sorry that was rude to ask" she chuckles the laugh off.
"No don't be, we're not there, but I know we will be" I smile at the thought of just her.
"Ah, young love, the best kind. My husband and I have been going on for 37, almost 38 years and it's never been stronger since. I haven't and will never stop loving him"
"That's so sweet, I'm glad you found the one"
"Me too and I know you did too. The way you look at her is the same way my husband does"
I laugh and look down to hide any embarrassment.
"Well, here she comes" I look up and see her looking at the trees. I back up for space and let her through. The sun shining on her bare face somehow makes her look more ethereal and perfect, I love her natural beauty.
Y/n finally makes her way to me and I bring her farther away from the conductor for some space.
"How was it?" I ask as I fix her front strands so I can see her face a bit better.
"It was so much fun, I didn't think there was gonna be much but the trees were already enough"
"Right? I wish it didn't last so short"
The need to touch her is intense "I know, I didn't expect it to end that quick. How'd you like it, P?" I step closer to her and softly wrap my arms around her waist.
"It was breathtaking" I slowly feel her hands trail up my arms "and absolutely stunning. Matter in fact, it was jaw dropping" I can't help but talk about her. Y/ns arms eventually make it up to my neck.
She nods "what else?" she tucks a strand of my hair behind my ears as I smirk at her response and lean in closer. I feel the urge to kiss her and now's the perfect moment. Just me and her alone with nothing but nature.
