Meet Amaaya_Noir, the creative mind behind 'Twisted Harry Potter,' a reimagination of the beloved wizarding world with a unique twist. The author takes readers on a thrilling journey where familiar characters and settings undergo unexpected transformations, offering a fresh perspective on the magical universe we love.
Can you share a bit about yourself and how your journey as a writer began?
So my profile name is Amaaya_Noir, I am 13 years old and I am an artist. I technically started my writing journey because of my sister. You could say I was influenced by her because when I first started to write my story i didn't have any intention to share it with you all. I didn't think anyone would like it, so i just wrote it for fun but my sis, family and friends encouraged me to publish it, so I guess that's how I started my journey.
1. How would you describe your writing style in three words, and why do these words resonate with you?
I think my writing is cliff hanger, a bit romantic, and a tint of savageness. I think these words kind of resonate myself, but except that I think it is cool. 😎
2. What inspired the themes explored in your book? How do these themes resonate with your personal beliefs or experiences?
Harry Potter was my favourite book and being a Potter head I loved reading Harry Potter fanfiction stories. So I thought I could write one story in my own theme and style. I believe that in the Harry Potter book, why should Harry be the only main character and not any other girl, so I thought I could change it with a character that reflects a little bit like me.
3. Describe a scene from your book that was particularly fun or satisfying to write. What made it enjoyable?I personally liked the scene in which Amaya constantly changes her attitude from a good to a powerful personality while taking to Severus Snape, but it will be hard to choose from the future plot.
4. What's the first story or piece of writing you remember creating as a child?
Actually this is my first ever piece, I have never ever written a story before this, but when I was a kid I used to imagine or create plots in my head or even try to predict what will happen in the future plot of the story while reading.
5. If you had to choose a soundtrack for your book, what songs or type of music would be on it?
I would definitely choose a pop or something that gives of a powerful type of feeling. For example like "Enemy" by Imagine Dragons, or "I would let the world burn for you ".
6. What's the most surprising thing a reader has ever said to you about your books?
Umm the most shocking comment was like "I have never read Harry Potter I don't intend to but don't tell me she can't live without it." I was pretty shocked reading this but, I don't mean it in a bad way, I think it is pretty silly myself but , if someone would try to give me a choice in burning my art or listen to their father I think, anyone would choose listening to their father.
7. If you could swap lives with one of your characters for a day, who would it be and what would you do?
I would definitely swap my life with Amaya the most powerful witch, I would change history, and make myself a group or a gang of delinquents, and defeat Voldemort 😉.
8. What inspired you to write this particular book, and how did your personality shape the direction of the narrative?
As I have said before I loved to read fanfiction of Harry, and I also watched POV of Harry Potter characters x y/n so, you could say that, this was my inspiration, my personality does match a bit like my character Amaya, it shows how powerful you can be.
9. What can readers expect from you next? Are there any upcoming projects or ideas you're excited to share?
Hey, umm I am thinking of spicing up up my story soon. I am also going to do a hand painted/sketched art of Amaya noir with the Slytherin gang, also this I haven't decided for sure but in the future years I am thinking of animating this story, as I said I haven't decided it yet.
10. Any tips for aspiring writers?
I am a beginner at writing so honestly I don't know what tips to give, but I have received one and it is to check my grammatical mistakes and to increase my writing style and I think this tip is very useful to me.
11. Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans/readers?
