chapter 53
after that incident, y/n requested to suspend the training of tanjiro and genya with the wind hashira.
in which the master permitted, he knew it was for a good reason since the request came from the blood hashira.
now the shinazugawa family issue became more complicated. nice job, sanemi.
tanjiro was heartbroken that he couldn't help mediate and repair the shinazugawa family's relationship.
"i'm sorry, y/n-san." he apologized,
y/n tilted her head, "why are you apologizing? none of it was your fault, dear."
the boy only looked down, the older woman pats his head and sighs.
"i'm sure we'll fix it, no worries. you have to head to gyomei-san for your training. i'll see you at my training grounds when you pass his."
tanjiro was now determined, he nodded and bowed before heading on his way.
y/n smiled, "what a good kid."
"and seriously, we're still in the mountains!? where the hell is the stone hashira's home?!" zenitsu screamed.
"maybe we're almost there?" tanjiro stated,
"a waterfall! and there's people..." he continued.
a few hunters stood underneath the waterfall, chanting words to let others know they are still conscious. inosuke was one of them.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAGHH!" tanjiro and zenitsu yelled out in shock.
"if you.. erase your mind... even fires will become cold.. welcome to my training ground..." the stone hashira stated.
he stood on the ground surrounded by fire while carrying heavy logs and big rocks.
both of the young hunters were flabbergasted, zenitsu started to foam from his mouth while also crying.
"the most important thing is the body's core... the limbs. stabilizing your body with strong limbs will lead to accurate attacks and indefatigable defense." gyomei started to explain,
"first, train by having the waterfall beat you... then carry three logs on your shoulders... finally, push and move this boulder one cho."
one cho is about 109 meters.
"my training is simple, compared to the blood hashira's. my training is just these three things... the training involving flames coming from below was too dangerous. so i removed them." he says as if it was so normal to train like that.
"i'm sorry. zenitsu has passed out." tanjiro said while holding an unconscious zenitsu.
gyomei turned to their direction, "dump him in the river."
to which tanjiro obeyed, throwing the unconscious boy in the freezing river.
"GYAAAAAAH! SHOOOO COWWLLD!!" zenitsu screamed.
he kept on rambling on how cold the water was until another hunter named murata told him, "hug the boulder, it's warm..."
as fast as lightning, zenitsu hugged the boulder. immediately feeling a little warmer.
s...so warm! boulders are so warm! it's like i'm being hugged by y/n-san...
"WAAAAAAH Y/N-SANN!" he cried out.
the female hashira sighed, having beaten the hunters once again in training.
these hunters have been here for almost four weeks now, they still haven't learned anything.
was her training that hard? she didn't think so.
"let's call it a night."
as she was about to leave the training ground, a figure started to approach. she already knew who they were based from their blood circulation.
she can feel the way how the blood circulates in every organism now that she's a demon. in humans and demons, she knows who is who based on that.
as long as she has seen and met the person, she knows. even if she can't see them.
"you've finally made it." she slightly smirked.
"i'm here, y/n-san." tanjiro said, fully determined.
