Y'know the world says there is only black and white, Good and evil. I personally think that's bullshit, I dance along the line of both.

Walking into the bar hoping to god that Kuroguri would actually let me drink some booze now that it's 5pm. Touya followed me soon after, sweating from going out and trying to recruit people, only to burn them alive. He saw it like a game of cat and mouse which highly amused him. "Sup bubs" I said to him as we both sat down on the hard bar stools. He asked for some whiskey before looking at me "Pretty shit. Nobody wants to join." I rolled my eyes, "You mean that no one makes it out of your flames alive." I laughed lightly before flagging down Kuroguri.

"Hey can I finally have some?" He sighed before handing me a glass cup and filling it with my prized booze. "Thanks man" I smiled before taking a sip, the burning sensation flowing down my throat. Although I coughed it up when I saw Shiggy dressed in a school girl outfit, "Damn crusty work it" I laughed and Touya looked at what I was laughing at only to immediately regret it "I don't kill nearly enough to see that."

The blue haired man grumbled at the floor before he looked at us once more, "Toga wanted to play... dress up." With the small confession I busted out laughing harder than before. He blushed obviously angry that I had dared to make fun of him "Sensei has a new task for you and Dabi. You are going to meet quite the public figure, he is gonna help us out from the inside." He scratched at his neck before walking away back towards his room to change back into his regular clothes.

Me and Touya walked with arms linked and went into an alley way, my gaze looked from Touya to the 'public figure' we would be meeting with. My eyes widened as I stepped away from the two men "No absolutely not, Shiggy has to actually be losing his mind to be trusting you." I pointed angrily at the number 2 hero Hawks. His honey eyes and messy blonde hair looked no different than when we were kids.

I knew he didn't recognize me, and for some reason it hurt. Touya pulled me back before making me stand In front of the hero. "Hey Dabi, nice to talk to you in-person" his gaze shifted to me "And who might you be". The question itself made me sick, "Huntress." I gave my fake name that I also used with the league, obviously following in Dabi's steps of leaving behind family.

The blonde went to shake my hand but I stepped away, "Don't think I trust pigeon bitch." I spat as he held his chest acting like I just shot him through the heart "Oh ouch birdie that hurts me. Tell you what, I bet you after maybe.. 4 months! That I'll be your best friend!" I looked at him then at Touya before we said in unison "That spot is already taken"

I smiled before seeing Hawks shuffle uncomfortably before saying the dumbest thing, "Then I'll be your second best friend!" I couldn't help but chuckle. He really hasn't changed a bit has he? I thought before sighing in defeat. "Yeah yeah whatever you say. You all do the adult talk or whatever I'ma be over here drinking a juice box that is most definitely not filled with left over alcohol."

Touya glared at me, he hasn't been very keen on my drinking habits, like he had room to talk. Although, I promised that after shit happened and cooled down, I would slow down. Hawks however, seemed to think my sarcasm was hilarious as he started laughing. Part of me wished I could hear it on repeat, then maybe I would wake up from this fever dream of playing villains and heroes. Sadly I knew that wouldn't happen, nor would it ever happen.

Once their little meet and greet had ended Touya and I walked back in silence, we both knew who he was and how much he meant to us. I was the first to break the silence, "I kinda missed him.." I said looking at the ground and kicking a rock. "Tch, it's his fault he didn't leave with us." He reasoned but it went through one ear and out the other as my mind swirled in the memories of my childhood, more specifically, Keigo and I's friendship.

Once we made it to our little home I went to my room to think. I shouldn't have missed him this much, he was tethered to the old me that I was long ago meant to cut off entirely. Touya and I even getting stupid code names and running away like the stupid abused teenagers we were.

The booze had left me a bit tipsy so I made myself lay down and get under the covers. I felt like a little kid hiding from their mother in a stupid game of hide n seek as I pulled the covers over and around my head. The warmth made me even more tired and as I closed my eyes, one more memory made itself very evident in my mind.

"Keigo!" I yelled out as me and Touya ran with a duffle bag. It was the middle of the night, Touya faked his death and I just ran away. I threw pebbles at the Blondes window and he opened the window only for another pebble to hit him square in the face. "Ow Y/n you should learn not to throw rocks at people.." He rubbed his eyes and face obviously just waking up.

"Run with us!" I said excitedly as I jumped up and down, Touya rolled his eyes at my immature attitude even at the age of 16. Keigo looked confused, "What do you mean?" I quickly answered with, "Let's leave, all three of us, together! Like we promised! You wont have to deal with your mom beating on you or anything anymore! Let's go quick, pack-" Keigo stopped me mid-sentence.

"Y/n.. honey I would love to but I have to go somewhere.. where they train us to be heroes.." My eyes and Touyas both widened before Touya stepped in "You're gonna support this fucked up system too?!" He nearly dropped our belongings on the ground. Keigo tried to reply but the words got stuck in his throat as he flew down to us and hugged us. The hug didn't seem like a 'I'll catch up' or a 'I'll see you later'.. no he was saying goodbye.

I looked at him as his features softened, "Mama thought she needed the money so she sold me off" He smiled weakly, my eyes widened in horror. "Then come with us! Escape!" I tried to reason with him only for him to kiss my forehead, "Go baby bird, be safe.." He turned away and flew back to his window shutting it firmly behind him.

I looked over to Touya as tears threatened to fall. He sighed and took my hand and whispered "We said no more tears, so wipe those tears away and lets get going." I sniffled at his words and nodded.

That would be the last time I cried.
