RING, RING, RING. "JAYLA GET UP! If I have to come in here again, i'll drag you out myself" My eyes flutter open and shut as I hear the voice of my best friend, Alexis.
"I'm getting up" I say, silently scolding her in my head for waking me up so early. I turn the other way and grab my phone off the charger. '9:42AM No Notifications'. She woke me up early AND nobody bothers to text me. Welcome to my life.
I get up out of my bed and walk to the kitchen, where i see our mother figure , Florence, making pancakes. "Goodmorning," I say rubbing my eyes , "Alexis are you packed yet?"
"yea!" she yells from her room, I hum in acknowledgment and sit down to eat the chocolate chip pancakes. "Florence" I start to say but soon decide to trail off. "Jayla, I know what you're worried about. I'll be here for you, always. If you ever need to come back home don't hesitate to do so. "
I give her a nod and stand up and head to my bathroom. I look in the mirror and sigh. "I don't feel like doing my hair." I put it into a messy bun and get started on my skin care routine.
After I finish, Lex comes into my room and sits on my bed. Moving around the packed boxes to make space. "Okay, I found an apartment for you to live in" I begin to get excited, then I see the look on her face. "But, you have a roommate.... and it's a boy. BUT think about the fact that the rent isn't much and you'll have your own room connected to a bathroom it'll be great. He might even be hot".
I roll my eyes at her last sentence and shut the door so i can put my clothes on. "It's fine Alexis, as long as your safe and have an apartment close to mine then it shouldn't be too bad." I walk out the bathroom realizing my clothes aren't even in there, and into my closet to grab the only clothes that are unpacked. I grab the black leggings, with a white shirt, a pair of white platform sandals, and my black snapshot purse. I accessorize with gold jewelry.

Alexis ordered a U-Haul truck yesterday, I have no clue why she didn't just hire some people to come and move the stuff for us but oh well. I start by stacking 2 boxes at a time and carry them outside and onto the truck. Florence helps us as well. Lex is 'encouraging' us by standing off onto the side and cheering us on.
I glare at her. "what?" she says, "I'm just a girl." I roll my eyes at her and laugh.
3 hours later
We've finally finished packing and I'm exhausted. Florence said we could stay here for the rest of the day and head out in the morning. Alexis and I had to decline because we don't have any clothes to wear in the morning. So we decide to head out tonight.
