Pocket knife

as Dominik got up and left the table he went to his room and sat on his bed it felt so wrong to be in his bedroom and he couldn't understand why until... he remembered he went over to his desk and started running through his drawers and it wasn't until he unscrewed the handle off the drawer that he found his pocket knife "yes" Dominik said hoping to find it there he locked his door as he sat back down on his bed putting the blade to his skin and before he's able to do anything "dom? Why's the door locked?" Rey questions knocking Dominik dosent respond until Rey kicks the door open "dom" Rey says looking at his son ready to hurt himself "dad I'm sorry I-i couldn't help it at dinner I started thinking of the day at the arena and I was thinking about everyone" Dominik struggles to get out over tears as he starts to ramble and try but eventually put the knife down "oh baby I'm sorry look you're gonna sleep with me and mommy tonight okay?" Rey asks "dad I'm not a baby I can sleep in my own" Dominik says still crying "and listen I know you can but we would feel better if you were with us" Rey says as he looks at the clock in the wall with it already almost 9pm "okay cmon baby let's brush ur teeth" Rey said as he walked him over to the bathroom dom brushed his teeth and washed his face as Rey combs his hair "are you okay sleeping in that?" Rey asks as they leave the bathroom and start walking to the master bedroom "mhm" Dominik hums as the father son duo continue to walk to the master bedroom. He sees his mom ready in her bed sitting up and reading a book as Rey walks to the master bathroom dom seeks this opportunity to talk to his mom "mamá" Dominik's says lightly "yes baby?" Angie says as she seems worried "I'm sorry for not eating your food..." Dominik says feeling guilty "it's okay baby I shouldn't have tried to force you.." Angie says as she pats the bed for Dominik to come lay down in the middle he hesitates but goes as instructed "look baby I know you're hurting right now, I know and it's gonna be tough but just know mamas always gonna be here for you I love you" Angie says placing a kiss on top of her forehead after Rey arrives back from the bathroom he walks to the bed to see Dominik passed out in the middle of the bed and Angie reading her Bible "he's out?" Rey questions "mhm" Angie says look at her boy with soft eyes "honey he was trying to hurt himself in his room he had a pocket knife" Rey says getting in bed but feeling defeated Angie's not sure what to do but she can only say a quick prayer that her babies demons leave her son alone. "Okay well we ask the judgement day if dom can go over tomorrow and we hide all the knifes everything sharp we hide each and every pill in the house" Angie says running her fingers through her boys hair "I hope we can do this" Rey says kissing his wife "we can-" as their conversation gets cut off by Aaliyah walks through the door "hey mom dad imma go with some friends for a little I'll be back later" Aaliyah says looking at her brother with her hurting soul "okay mamas be careful and don't stay out too late" Angie says and Rey can't help but look at how amazing his daughters heart is
