Solace's POV, 8:19 A.M.

I awoke to the sound of oddly loud snoring. I leaned upward on my shoulder before realizing that I'd been on the bed and Nelson had moved to the floor.

The noise I heard was him, who happened to be so loud that even YaYa and Eileen couldn't do it anymore. They left before we even had a chance to wake up.

"Nels, baby, can you wake up for me?" I said softly as I leaned down to shake him.

I wasn't trying to be mean, but holy shit his snoring was getting on my nerves. He never usually snored, so I wondered if it was just because he had a game coming up. All I knew was that I'd slept like a baby.

"Good morning, ma." He greeted after a couple more shakes.

"Good morning, baby. You ready?" I asked with a smile.

"As ready as I'm gonna get." He rolled over to fully face me, looking up at me with a straight face.

That meant he wasn't ready at all. I knew Nelson well enough to know when he was nervous and when he wasn't and right now he was nervous as shit.

"Baby, you'll be great out there. What you so worried about?" I got off the bed to lie down beside him.

He turned his head to me and glared. It was hard but playful and it was his sorry attempt at deflecting the problem.

I stared at him sternly until he caved.

"Okay, ma, damn." He groaned out. "I'm worried that you'll get hurt or that I won't play as well as I normally do. You keep me on edge, pretty girl."

I stared a little bit longer before just giggling at the curly-haired boy.

"My love, you always play great. Even when you slacked, you caught me off guard at my best. Nobody else on RWE would've even come close to beatin' me, although I can't speak for other teams." I reasoned.

"Ma, you hype yourself up too much. Even though you right. The matter of you getting hurt is still there."

"Nels, I'm not gonna get hurt. I've got this, I promise." I smiled.

I started to get up so that I could go downstairs for breakfast, figuring that YaYa and Eileen were already there.

I grabbed my phone and started out of Nelson's room door before he spoke.

"Love you, Sol." He said before laying his head back down.

"Love you more, Nels." I looked back one last time before finally walking out the door.

God was that boy cute.

Nelson's POV, 9:02 A.M.

I sat on the kitchen counter, scrolling through TikTok. I heard a group of giggles and lifted my head to see Solly, Ja'Siyah, and Eileen. Or as I call them: Cam's Angels.

"Solly, do it!" I heard Ja'Siyah whisper-yell as she pushed Solly toward me.

Solly was fidgety and unusually shy, so I wanted to ask her what was wrong, but I figured it was a truth-or-dare game. These girls loved truth or dare for some reason.

"Umm...okay..." Solly whispered, mostly to herself.

She walked up to me, lifting her head and pulling me into a kiss. She pulled off of me before we could get more intense, and the whole time Ja'Siyah and Eileen were squealing like One Direction fans.
