Chapter 3: Collaboration

[GWEN]

After the suspension, we were finally able to come to school. Sheena and I found out the results of the diagnostic exam came in. Sheena smirked at me as she came up to me and said, "Hm, you know that I don't like losing, right? I'll still get the top spot no matter what."

"I'm not letting you." I said.

Sheena smirked and moved closer to me, towering over me as she leaned against a wall.

"You're not always gonna be on the top, y'know," She teased.

"Oh yeah? I will, and look at our differences. Mas matangkad pa ako, and smarter pa." I replied.

Sheena rolled her eyes, crossing her arms and raised an eyebrow.

"You're not that much taller than me. And we're equally smart"

"Mhm, if you say so." I said.

She pushed herself off the wall, now standing in front of me.

"You get all mad and pouty when you don't get the top spot," Sheena chuckled, pinching my cheek.

"Hmph."

Sheena continued to smirk as she pinched my cheek harder.

"Admit it, it makes you upset that I keep winning, hm?"

"No, never."

Sheena chuckled, letting go of my cheek and patted my head.

"I know it, you're a sore loser."

"I'm not."

Sheena leaned closer to me, her eyes locked on mine. She had a smirk on her face as she spoke.

"Aww, are you gonna pout the whole day now, hm?"

I leaned in closer, both our faces almost touching.

"I'm not, I'm going to win for sure."

Sheena's smirk widened as her face was closer to mine. Her breath was hot on my skin.

"Yes, yes you are." she said in a sultry voice.

"I'm not..."

"You're so grumpy today. Someone didn't wake up on the right side of the bed, did they?"

"No?" I nonchalantly replied.

As we passed by the ranking board, we noticed that I was at the top of the batch, with Sheena right behind me in second place.

Sheena looked at the ranking board as we both walked by. Seeing that I had beaten her, she let out a scoff of disbelief.

"How are you on top?" she grumbled, crossing her arms.

"Okay lang 'yan, meron pa namang next time." I whispered.

Sheena looked at me with a pout. "Easy for you to say, you're not the one who's always getting second spot." she said, lightly punching me shoulder.

"Sabi ko na nga it's okay eh." I said as I patted her head.

I rolled my eyes at Gwen's attempt to comfort me. But secretly, I liked the feeling of her hand on my head.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." I muttered, trying to hide a small smile.

Gwen kept patting my head.

I closed my eyes, leaning into her touch. I enjoyed the feeling of her hand on my head, even if I didn't want to admit it.
