I was walking around the town, finally leaving the farm after moving here yesterday; I never expect that the grandpa farm would need so many maintenance. In just one day, i have been receiving a lot of letters from my parents about how disappointed they're from. T decision to live the city and move here.
I moved here to escape from the depressed life in the city, it's not like coming to the farm was in my plans but it was the first opportunity that appeared.
I just wanted to live that house as quickly as possible.
Following the advices of mayor Lewis I decided to go and meet everyone or at least a few people. I walked around the town, visiting some places like Pierre's store, the joja market and robin house.
After a few hours of meeting and talking with the neighbors, I decided to take a break in the near little park beside the community center. What I wasn't expecting was to see a hair girl there, near the fountain.
"Hey!" I say to call her attention as I get closer to her "I'm new in the town, I was walking around meeting the neighbors and saw you here" A smile on my face and my hand extended to her waiting her response.
"Oh... you're the new farmer, aren't you? Huh? Oh... I'm Haley."she introduced herself with a smile.
"Hmm... If it weren't for those horrendous clothes you might actually be cute. Actually, nevermind." I look at her, not expecting that response and less her saying it with a smile, after a few seconds seeing that she ignored my handshake; I took it back.
"Thanks? I guess..." a slight smile on my face not knowing what to say next "this is a nice place, you come here often?" I try to break the ice hoping to get a nice answer this time
"Most that I want to be! This town is so small. It sucks, there's nothing good here" I could see the expression of disgust on her face as she say that "The only thing I like about this town is the beach"
"Really? I haven't go to the beach still but I will soon, I received a letter from the fisherman...Willy? I don't remember well his name" I laugh a bit and move my gaze to the fountain "if this town is too small you should come to my farm, maybe you can find something you like-"
I didn't get to finish my sentence when she cut me with disgust on her face "the farm? Oh no, dear; there's no way I will put a feet on that nasty place, my clothes are not going to get dirty"
I took a breath and respond "well right now it's a bit dirty, yeah; but in the future it will be a really nice place to spend time. So never say never, Haley" looking back at her with a slight smile on my face.
"Yeah, whatever" se salido and i rolled my eyes at her vague answer "well I have to go now, see you around, farmer and next time...don't use that kind of clothes, maybe it will fit you more"Seeing her walking away, I stayed there taking a deep breath a bit offended "well, that's certainly a way to make a first impression" I murmured for myself, now alone there and head to the beach to see Willy, maybe he's not as mean as Haley.

On my way to the beach I saw someone standing in the bridge, red hair waving in the air. I walked close, deciding to introduced myself.
"Hey there!" I called him to get his attention.
He turned his face in my direction as I stand by his side
"Ah, the new farmer we've all been expecting... and whose arrival has sparked many a conversation!" he said giving me a soft smile and extending his hand for me to take it "I'm Elliot, I live in the little cabin by the beach. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"So Elliot...nice name, I like it! And the pleasure is mine" I said back with a smile like his and accepted his handshake "i just have two days here but I'm trying to meet everyone here"
"That's nice, some nights you'll must find most of the neighbors in the saloon" he said, laying his body in the bridge.
"You know, I'm kind of new to this town myself too. I moved here only a year before you."
"Really? Even so, you already know everyone here so you're steps away from me" I said with a little laugh, sitting on the wall of the stone bridge.
"That doesn't matter, you'll be friend of everyone very quickly" he reassured me "I'm going to suppose you're going to the beach, no?"
"Yeah I'm, I received a letter from the fisherman...I don't remember well his name" I said with a little embarrassed smile.
"Willy and it's not weird he sent you one, he did the same when I arrived here" he let out a little laugh remembering the moment "I won't steal you more time, just know that the doors of my cabin are always open"
I nodded smiling him one last time before stared walking again in direction to the beach.
Reaching the dock of the beach I see a cabin there and a man fishing in front of it, supposing is Willy I got near "hey! You're Willy right? I'm the new farmer"
The man turned around to see me and I could see a smile appearing on his face and that relievesd me "Ahoy there! Yes, I am, It's nice to see young folk movin' in to the valley. It's not very common these days." I laughed a bit at his words
"Well, It's nice to have a change of scenery."
"Well said, now give me a second; I have something for you" he said and went inside his cabin, coming back just a few seconds with a bamboo pole in hands and handing it to me "here it is, this is for you, farmer"
I took it and look at it, admiring it "so cool, but, why? We just met"
"The fishing sector is gradually being lost here in the town, perhaps you will be interested" i could heard a melancholy sight on his words but don't give too much attention to it "I can teach you all I know if you want too"
I looked at the bamboo pole a few second, I haven't fished never in my life before but it will be nice to give it a try "well I'm certainly interest in fishing now, give me some instructions and advices, Willy"
Smiling he started teaching me the necessary things that I needed to know to not die in the try and even give me some bait for the rod to. He told me a few of the season fishes and where I can catch specific ones.
It was almost night when he finished teaching me everything or almost everything, he went to save his things back in the cabin and went out a few minutes later "I'm heading the saloon, wanna come with me, farmer?"
I haven't been in the saloon still so it would be nice to go, maybe I find new faces there "sure, lead the way, captain" we both laugh a bit and start the walking. Few minutes and we arrive, entering after Willy and glancing around all the people that were there.
Willy go to sit near a window and i glance Elliot sitting with a ginger girl, he notice me and invites me to sit with them so I go there
"See you again, farmer. She's Leah, a great friend of mine since I get here" I nodded and took seat extending my hand to the girl
"I was hoping to meet the new farmer soon, I can see this is my lucky day" we both laugh and she accept my handshake "You picked a good time to move here... The spring is lovely"
I nodded to her comment about the season and talked "Is a pleasure to meet a new face too, I was a bit busy with the farm yesterday and couldn't meet anybody, first day at the farm you know...."
We talk for a few hours, learning a few thing about them like Leah is a painter and Elliot a writer. We connect well together and it was a great night certainly, sadly midnight arrive and everyone head to his own houses.
The walk to the farm was peaceful and calmly, I can get used to this; a nice place to hang out, a beach and good neighbors-well except that girl of the morning, she was mean but there's something in her that makes me want to know her better.
