Seven

I was sitting with Jirou, Mina, and Yaoyorozu. We were all talking about the sports festival.

"The first game drained me. Especially the obstacle with the mines. I used so much blood." I said as I stuffed my face with a rice ball.

"I wish I had picked better teammates for the Calvary." Jirou said as she picked through her food.

At lunch Mineta told us we were supposed to be dressed as cheerleaders. Said it was a direct instruction by Aizawa.

I was alittle skeptical. When we made it on the field I realized how revealing our outfits were. I huffed. Of course that little pervert, Mineta set us up.

As I looked upon the bracket I saw I was going against Todoroki. I was going to have to give it my all. Todoroki was a fierce competitor and I knew he was going to make it hard. But I was up for the challenge.

I made my way over to him.

"I wish you luck." I said.

He looked over to me.

"I'm not saying your quirk is useless, however I am almost certain I'll best you." He said

"Well then I'll just have to try my hardest. I'm up for the challenge." I said.

He stared into my eyes. It racked my nerves up a bit but I shook it off. I walked off to strategize. I made my way to an empty hall and sat on a bench. I zoned out thinking of ways I could counter his ice however with his two quirks it would be hard to figure out which one he'd use.

"Ianna." I heard from beside me.

I quickly looked over and saw Aizawa standing there.

"Hey Dad." I said smiling slightly.

"You did well out there. I've been meaning to catch you. I saw your opponent is Todoroki. He's definitely a challenge." Aizawa said as he sat next to me.

I nodded.

"I think you can beat him. If you use your mother's quirk you have a chance of countering him." He said
looking over at me

I just stared at him.

"But other than that, I'm proud of you. You worked hard out there and you deserve your spot in the game." He said.

"Thank you." I said smiling at him.

I couldn't tell if he smiled back though, due to his many bandages. We sat there in silence for a bit. I used that time to strategize even more. I needed to be ready.

It was just after Midoriyas round. He was almost gotten brainwashed to walk out of the arena. But he surprisingly snapped out of the trance. The Shinsou guy got the air knocked out of him. Midoriya had thrown him on his back leading him to land out of the ring.

My turn was up next. And as I stood on the side of the hall the Shinsou guy had walked by.

"From the Hero Course, it's Ianna Aizawa! Versus someone who's far too good for his own good, got into UA based on recommendation, Shoto Todoroki!" Present Mic shouted

As soon as the fight started Todoroki shot ice shards at me. I was alittle shocked but I swiftly managed to dodge them. I stabilized my feet and shot a huge ball of blood at him. With the pressure it sent him back a foot. Just as I was gonna shoot another one I saw ice creeping up on the cement ready to trap my body in place. I needed to think quick. I quickly shot myself up in the air. I was standing on a pillar of blood as it slowly began freezing. I then quickly ran forming a path mid air then jumped down. I landed right in front of Todoroki. I then kicked him right in the chest to try and knock him down. He fell and just as I was about to form a wave to flush him out I felt a kick in my leg. It gave out and I fell to the ground. When I looked up he was already standing about to shoot ice at me. I quickly shot blood out of my hands which caused him to stumble back. With the time I had before he attacked again I formed a blood wall. I stood up as it would give me more access. However the wall was hard to keep up. My hair began lifting and I assumed my eyes were red as well.

"Woah! It seems when Ianna uses too much of her power her appearance changes as well!"

I was so drained from the rest of the events I couldn't manage my blood wall for long. That's when I felt a sudden freezing sensation. I looked down and realized my body all the way up to my elbows was frozen. With how much ice surrounded me I couldn't melt it in time.

"Ianna, can you move at all?" Midnight asked

"Obviously not." I said in frustration

"Ianna has been immobilized! Todoroki advances to the next round!" Midnight shouted.

"Sorry about that. It was a bit much. I was angry is all." Todoroki said as he put his hand on my shoulders beginning to melt the ice.

I just looked at him and sighed in defeat.

Once back in the stands I was bombarded with congratulations. Although I thanked them for it I was still disappointed in myself.

I didn't stay in the stands for long. I instead went to the commentators stand where my dad was. I didn't expect a conversation instead I just sat beside him and watched the next battles play out.
