"You rubbish! Why can't you concentrate and study hard like your siblings? They have scholarships, and look at you sitting there gaming!" "STOP GAMING, GAMING WILL NEVER GET YOU ANYWHERE!" "Why can't you have the same mindset as your siblings wanting to be a lawyer and a doctor?" My parents declared.

I couldn't stop hearing those lines following my family's car accident. Even though my mindset became different after what had happened, I knew that my parents were not going to be proud of me, nor would they care about me. I began to concentrate during lessons and studied more diligently upon coming to realize that gaming wouldn't benefit me much.

I had to rush home from school every day, change, and then head to my part-time work to make money to pay for my house bills and school. I'm not sure why I suddenly changed my perspective, but you might be wondering. I was left speechless upon learning that my family had passed away in a car accident, and because the death prevented my siblings from realizing their aspirations, the least I could do as a family disappointment was to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor for my brother. I was aware that the last exam was approaching; therefore, I needed to study even more. The purpose of that exam was to determine that I'm eligible for medical school, even if I may currently be a top student. Rumours were going around that the medical exam was extremely difficult and that there was very little chance of being accepted. I had excessive stress for a whole month, and I struggled to get any sleep.

It had come to the time for us to sit for the examination as well as having to face the challenges after a severe month of studying. A few minutes later, I was still feeling anxious. My friend, Ha-eun, told me to take some deep breaths in and out. It made most of my nervousness go away, and I felt much better. Before we walked into the room to take our examination, Ha-eun told me to calm down and not stress out because normally when you stress out, your mind goes blank. After entering the room and taking a seat, the papers were distributed. When the teacher finally announced that we may begin the paper, I took a big breath and began, feeling relieved that I had put so much hard work into preparing.

The majority of the questions resemble the ones I had practised. With just two minutes remaining, I made a quick check before the bell rang. The teacher instructed us to put down our pens and begin gathering all the papers. After gathering all of the papers, the teacher did a quick check of the amount of papers he had and dismissed us. After I left the classroom, I had a week of freedom with Ha-eun before the results were announced. When I asked Ha-eun whether she had found the paper difficult, she replied, saying that it was extremely challenging.

Ha-eun and I had gone through the entire week enjoying ourselves until we received a notification on our phones. We knew the results would be out today, but we were unsure of the exact timing, so we were both anxious and excited. Afterwards, we press the notification icon. The very first sentence, "Congratulations, Kim Areum, you have been accepted into Seoul National University," made me shocked. But Ha-eun was sobbing as she was unable to get into Seoul National University but instead got accepted into another university, but I was too excited to even notice. I heard someone crying next to me when I returned to my senses. I turned to look at Ha-eun, who was crying. I asked, "What's wrong? Did you not get accepted to the SNU?" "No was admitted into another university." She replied, "It's okay, I did my best at least; it was to be expected anyway, as I had found the paper somewhat challenging," she said while trying to maintain her positive attitude. I began to cry as soon as I realized what she said, as my best friend of ten years was about to part ways with me. It was only after she had comforted me that I could get my tears to stop flowing down.

I told her that I had been accepted when she questioned me about my acceptance. I had never had a more wonderful friend than her. Although she was rejected from the best medical school, she did not show any type of jealousy. Rather, she congratulated me since she was glad that I had been accepted to the best university in medicine. Considering that she knew my past, she was really excited for me to begin my journey in the top medical school. We were running out of time since tomorrow was the day we had to start school. "Can we go to the park?" I asked Ha-Eun. She nodded at me when I asked, as that was our usual spot to go during difficult times. Unfortunately, we only had thirty minutes left to spend together. After we found a bench in the park, we both sat down and enjoyed the wind together one last time. It was time for both of us to go back home. We said goodbye to each other and promised to keep each other updated about our lives. "Bye, Ha-eun I will miss you so much. You have been the most wonderful friend I have ever had. Thank you." I said to Ha-eun before she left, You too, Areum." You were a great friend; you always helped me when I was in need and comforted me when I was heartbroken. You were the best friend I had ever asked for. Lastly, goodbye Areum." Ha-Eun said, "Goodbye, Ha-Eun," I said back. We then walked the opposite way, and I suddenly burst out in tears, as I really couldn't believe that I was seriously leaving my best friend for over 10 years.

Hey, guys hope you guys like the story I'm not a good story writer but I'm just writing this book as there aren't many eun-hyuk stories and I'm basically just writing whatever my delusional brain wished and I suck at grammar so don't come at me.
