Altamash stormed in his father's residence the next day.
Finding his mother in her bedroom, he grabbed her and made her sit on the nearest stool. Leaning by her side he looked at her. He looked at her like she was his mother.

With
Hope
" Do you really want me to return home? Do you really want me to have dinner with you every night? Do you want your son back?"
He asked firmly while his heart rate escalated. Ferya looked at her son lovingly. She hadn't seen him in days.
She dearly missed him. She missed him with all her heart. He was her only son. And like a mother's heart, her heart also yearned for him. But she wasn't like all mother. She never was. She had left him alone. But she was here now. She missed having him around. She missed hearing him talk. She missed his presence.
And yes she wanted her son back. She wanted her son to stay by her side. She wanted Altamash to let go of the past. She wanted him to live here with her.
" Yes! Yes, my darling."
She repeated again and again as she caressed the dark of his hair. He looked at her as a frown shadowed his face.
" I will but you'll have to go and ask for Silah's hand in marriage."
Ferya gasped and her hand stilled. She turned her head away for a moment.
" What are you saying, Altamash."
Her eyes widened. She knew of her husband's anger. She knew of Afzal Siddiqui's wrath. She knew he'd never approve.
" What about Meerub? Your father wants you to settle for her."
" Only Silah!"
Altamash cut in.
" If you want me back. You'll have to bring Silah too."
He stated as he looked at her intently. Ferya swallowed harshly before she caressed his cheek. Altamash barely ever asked anything for her. He had never asked anything of her. And now he was here by her side.
" Anything for you now, Altamash. Everything will happen as you wish. Everything."
Altamash gave a slight nod as his lips barely stretched in a smile. Straightening to his full height, he took a step back.
" I have to go to work. I'll come by dinner time."
He bid his farewell and Ferya looked at her son as he left.

The wide canvas of the sky had turned dark. Light strokes of grey heavy clouds lingered over as the last hues of the sunset died out.
