Camilla had decided to go live on TikTok for her fans. She enjoyed these casual interactions, sharing snippets of her life, answering questions, and just hanging out virtually. Tonight, she was chatting about her favorite skincare products, enjoying the steady stream of comments and questions flooding in.
"So, this serum is a game-changer," she was saying, holding up a small bottle. "I use it every night before bed, and it-"
A knock on the door interrupted her, making her frown in confusion. She wasn't expecting anyone. "Hold on, guys," she said to her audience. "Let me see who's at the door."
Camilla set her phone down, leaving the live stream running as she went to the door. She opened it to find Paige standing there, looking slightly frazzled.
"Paige? What are you doing here?" Camilla asked, her surprise evident.
Paige stepped inside, not waiting for an invitation. "Camilla, I need to talk to you," she said urgently. "I'm so sorry about the whole situation . I didn't realize how much it would affect you. I-"Camilla's eyes widened in panic. Paige hadn't noticed the live stream, and she was about to spill everything. Without thinking, Camilla did the only thing she could think of to shut her up. She grabbed Paige by the collar and kissed her deeply.
Paige stiffened in shock but quickly responded, wrapping her arms around Camilla and pulling her close. The kiss grew more passionate, and Camilla could feel Paige's hands traveling down her back to her ass. Paige's other hand moved to Camilla's throat, her thumb brushing the sensitive skin there, making Camilla shiver.
The comments on the live stream exploded with excitement and surprise. Camilla's followers couldn't believe what they were seeing.
Camilla finally pulled back, breathless, and glanced over at her phone. The screen was filled with heart emojis and shocked reactions. She swallowed hard, trying to regain her composure. "Um, sorry about that, guys," she said, her voice a bit shaky.
"Paige just... surprised me."Paige looked over at the phone and realized they were live. A mischievous smile spread across her face. "Oh, we're live?" she asked, pretending to be surprised. "Well, in that case..."
Before Camilla could react, Paige picked her up and sat down on the couch, placing Camilla on her lap. Camilla blushed furiously, but she forced a smile for the camera, trying to play it cool.
"So, what are we talking about tonight?" Paige asked, her arms wrapped securely around Camilla's waist. She nuzzled Camilla's neck, making her squirm.
Camilla cleared her throat, trying to focus.
"We were just talking about skincare," she said, feeling a bit dazed.
Paige's fingers traced patterns on Camilla's thigh, just out of view of the camera.
"Sounds interesting," she murmured, her lips brushing Camilla's ear.
Camilla's heart was racing, but she tried to keep her cool. "Yeah, it's, um, really great stuff," she said, holding up the serum again.
"This one is my favorite."Paige's hand slid up to Camilla's waist, squeezing gently. "I can see why," she said, her voice low and seductive. "Your skin is always so soft."
The comments were going wild, but Camilla forced herself to focus. "So, yeah, I highly recommend this product," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "It's really helped me a lot."
Paige chuckled softly, her breath warm against Camilla's neck. "You're so good at this," she whispered. "I'm impressed."
Camilla shot her a warning look, but Paige just smiled innocently. "Thanks," Camilla said, turning back to the camera. "Okay, I think that's it for tonight, guys. Thanks for joining me. I'll see you all next time."
She ended the live stream and turned to Paige, her eyes flashing with anger. "What the hell was that?" she demanded, standing up and glaring at Paige.
Paige looked unrepentant. "I was just trying to apologize," she said, standing up as well.
"I didn't mean to interrupt your live stream.""You almost blew our cover!" Camilla hissed.
"Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep up this charade?"
Paige's expression softened. "I'm sorry, Cam. I really am. I didn't think—"
"That's right, you didn't think," Camilla snapped. "You never think about how this affects me."
Paige took a step closer, her eyes earnest. "I know I've messed up, but I want to make it right. I care about you, Camilla. More than you know."
Camilla's anger faltered at the sincerity in Paige's voice. "Paige.."
Before she could say anything more, Paige pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry," Paige whispered. "Please, forgive me."
Camilla sighed, leaning into Paige's embrace.
"Just... don't do that again," she said, her voice softer.
Paige nodded, holding her close. "I won't. I promise." Milla was trying to process everything when her phone started ringing. It was a FaceTime call from her mother, Carla. Camilla sighed, knowing she couldn't avoid this conversation.
"Hey, Mom," she greeted, trying to sound casual as she answered the call.
"Hi, baby!" Carla's face lit up on the screen.
"I was just watching your live stream, and... who was that with you?"
Camilla hesitated, glancing at Paige, who was still in her apartment. "That was Paige," she said slowly. "Paige Bueckers."
Carla's eyes widened. "Paige Bueckers? The basketball player? Are you two...together?"
Before Camilla could respond, Paige leaned into the frame, flashing a charming smile.
"Hi, Mrs. Thomas. It's so nice to meet you."
Carla blinked in surprise but returned the smile. "Oh, hello, Paige. I didn't expect to meet you like this."Paige laughed softly. "I know, I'm sorry for barging in. I just couldn't wait to apologize to Camilla in person. I've been a real jerk, and I'm trying to make it up to her."
Carla's expression softened. "Well, it's nice to see you making an effort. Camilla deserves the best."
"She absolutely does," Paige agreed, squeezing Camilla's hand. "And I'm going to do everything I can to prove that I can be that for her."
Camilla's heart fluttered at Paige's words, and she could see her mother melting a little, too. "Well, Paige, you seem like a very sweet girl. I'm glad Camilla has someone like you in her life."
"Thank you, Mrs. Thomas," Paige said sincerely. "I really appreciate that."
After a few more minutes of chatting, Carla seemed completely won over by Paige's charm. They ended the call on a positive note, and Camilla turned to Paige with a mix of amusement and exasperation. "You really know how to sweet-talk people, don't you?" she said.
Paige grinned. "Only when it matters." She took a deep breath, turning serious again.
"There's actually another reason I came over.
I need you to come to a UConn game with me. It's for publicity, and I could really use your support."Camilla's annoyance softened a little. "A
UConn game? Paige, I don't know. That's a lot."
Paige nodded, understanding. "I know, but it would really help with our image. And I want to show you a part of my life that's important to me. Please?"
Camilla sighed, finally relenting. "Alright, fine.
But only because you asked nicely."
Paige's face lit up with a smile. "Thank you, Cam. It means a lot." She pulled out an old UConn jersey from her bag. "Here, I want you to wear this."
Camilla took the jersey, feeling a strange mix of emotions. "An old jersey, huh? This is serious."
Paige laughed. "It is. Now come on, let's get going."
Arriving at the UConn game felt like stepping into a different world for Camilla. The energy in the arena was electric, and everywhere they went, people greeted Paige with awe and admiration. It was clear that even as an alumna, Paige held a special place in the hearts of the UConn faithful. Camilla felt a little out of place but tried to keep up with Paige's pace. She was wearing Paige's old jersey, and she could feel the eyes of curious onlookers on them as they walked through the arena.
They took their seats, and almost immediately, a swarm of fans and media surrounded them, eager to get a glimpse of Paige and her 'girlfriend! Paige handled it all with grace, introducing Camilla to everyone and making sure she felt included.
As the game progressed, Camilla started to relax. She found herself getting into the spirit of the event, cheering along with the crowd.
Paige wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close for a kiss during a timeout, and the cameras captured every moment.
After the game, Paige led Camilla to the locker room, where she was finally introduced to Paige's best friend, Azzi Fudd, and her old Conn teammates. They were celebrating their win, and the atmosphere was jubilant.
"Camilla, this is Azzi," Paige said, smiling as she made the introduction. "Azzi, this is Camilla."Azzi's smile was tight, and her eyes were cold as she shook Camilla's hand. "Nice to meet you," she said, but there was no warmth in her tone.
Camilla noticed the change immediately and felt a pang of annoyance. She hadn't done anything to deserve this treatment. The rest of the team was friendly and welcoming, but Azzi's attitude put a damper on the evening for her.
KK Arnold, one of Paige's closest friends, came over with a warm smile. "Hey, Camilla!
Paige has told us so much about you."
Camilla forced a smile. "All good things, I hope."
KK laughed. "Mostly." She gave Camilla a playful nudge. "Just kidding. It's great to finally meet you."
Another teammate, Ice Brady, joined the conversation, giving Camilla a friendly nod.
"So, how are you finding the game? Was this your first UConn experience?"
Camilla nodded. "Yeah, it was intense. But I can see why Paige loves it here."Ice grinned. "Yeah, it's a special place. We're glad you could join us."
They all decided to head to a bar to celebrate, and Camilla was determined to enjoy herself despite Azzi's weird vibes.
Paige stayed close to her, introducing her to everyone and making sure she was comfortable.
At the bar, Camilla couldn't help but notice the way Azzi glared at her whenever Paige showed her affection. It was starting to get on her nerves. Paige wrapped her arms around Camilla, pulling her into her chest, and Camilla saw the flash of anger in Azzi's eyes.
Suddenly, it clicked. Azzi was jealous.
Camilla found it funny and decided to play into the relationship even more to piss Azzi off. She leaned into Paige, kissing her deeply, and Paige responded eagerly.
The rest of the night continued in the same vein, with Camilla making a point to be extra affectionate with Paige. Azzi's glares became more intense, but Camilla couldn't bring herself to care. By the end of the night, though, the tension had reached a boiling point. Azzi cornered Camilla as she was heading to the restroom, her eyes blazing with anger.
"What the hell is your problem?" Azzi demanded, her voice low and furious.
Camilla folded her arms, not backing down.
"My problem? I haven't done anything to you, Azzi."
Azzi scoffed. "You're just using Paige for publicity. I can see right through you."
Camilla bristled at the accusation. "You don't know anything about me or my relationship with Paige."
"I know enough," Azzi shot back. "And I'm not going to let you hurt her."
Camilla was about to respond when Paige appeared, sensing the tension. "What's going on here?"
Azzi turned to Paige, her expression pleading. "Paige, you can't seriously be falling for this act. She's just using you."Paige looked between the two of them, her eyes wide with confusion. "Azzi, what are you talking about?"
Azzi's face twisted with frustration. "She's not who you think she is, Paige. The bitch is only in this for the publicity." She said making Milla turn red.
"Bitch? You can watch that word cause I'm not the one. Nobody is using anyone here. Tread lightly live cause I won't be nice too much longer," she pressed. Her southern accent started to slip out.
"Okay chill, chill. Milla, go find Ice please?" Paige said making Camilla snap her head towards her.
"Oh your dead ass? Fuck you too Paige. I'll find my way home," she said storming off.
"Milla, that's no-," she tried to go after the influencer, but her bestfriend tugged at her hand.
"Let her go P. She wasn't the one anyways," Azzi tried to comfort her friend. Paige shook her head.
"I- what was that about Az? Milla didn't do anything to deserve that?" Paige asked in utter confusion.
"She's a user I can feel it. You know her type. Those ig models don't have anything going for themselves so they attach to successful people like you," she expressed. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and dreaded pulling it out. As Azzi went on her tangent, I unlocked it and the message I read made my heart drop to my ass.Camilla: this shit is done. I'll set up a meeting with Ayanna.
I froze as my eyes glanced the message at least ninety times. What the hell happened?
