20-9-24(Humanised)
Golfball sat in her room, alone in the dark. The only light was her lamp desk. She glazed over her work again, not seeing any changes. Lots of problems had occurred in the city not long ago, and she was asked to fix all of this. She was sleep-deprived, but she knew she had to fix it. What would others think of her then? They would mock her and find her useless. She couldn't allow that to happen, so all-nighters were the only way. But she could take a break, it was only 8:00pm after all. She rested her head on the table and dozed off
Golfball awoke by hearing rumbling through the kitchen. She checked the time again, and it was 2:36 in the early morning. No one should be awake at this time.. She got up and walked into the kitchen to see Tennis-ball. He was working on some project, looking stressed and tired. He looked behind him, hearing a faint noise. Golfball was peeping out of room, confused. When he saw her, his eyes lit up and he rushed over to her.
"Golfball!" He said, hugging her tightly but not too tight.
"T-Tennis-ball..? W-What's wrong..?" She muttered, eventually returning the hug.
"You haven't came out of your room in days! I thought you left! Why did you stay there..?"
"P-People were asking .. for stuff.." . Golfball was half asleep, still muttering and responding to Tennis-balls questions. She woke herself up , leaving TB's embrace. Golfball went back to her bedroom, Tennis-ball following her. She sat in her chair, Tennis-ball leaning behind her.
"So..what's all the notes about?" Tennis-ball pointed out the notes, observing all them and trying to decipher it. Golfball stared at her notes , her mouth opened slightly as she ran her eyes over the notes.
"I-I.."
"Golfball..? What are the notes about..?" Tennis-ball asks softly. Golfball breathes in and immediately curls up into a ball. She pushes her head into her legs, not caring about Tennis-ballk who watched her. TB immediately runs up to her side, hugging her closely,
"What's wrong...?" He takes her chin and looks up at her tired, upset grey eyes.
"T-Too..much p-pressure..." She muttered under her breath. He rubs her head softly before carrying her bridal style to her bed, placing her down softly and hopping in after her. He wrapped his arms around her and she automatically buried her face into his chest. They stayed like that, breathing quietly and enjoying each-others embrace , until Tennis-ball spoke up.
"Golfball, there's been something I've been wanting to tell you.."
"What." She mumbled grumpily, but TB could tell she wanted to know.
"Uhm, I like you, well — love you.. and I know, you've liked me aswell.." he hummed , not daring looking at her.
"W-What? H-How d-did you know I've bee s-so-"
"Shh..now why didn't you ever tell me..?"
"I-I didn't want to ruin.. I thought - I wasn't.. good..enough.."
"What made you think that..?"
"I-I'm rude — annoying.. I'm , not - kind to anyone- not even.. you..". TB didn't reply and put his hand on her hair, and started massaging it. Golfball was shivering and he could tell she wanted to cry again. He wrapped his other hand around her waist and pulled her closer.
"It's okay, you deserve to let it out. You've been pushing back your feeling for so long, I can tell." Tennis-ball hummed in Golfballs ear.
Those words alone were enough to make her break out. She hugged Tennis-ball tightly and cried until she couldn't anymore. Sobs of pain and pressure were heard from her. Tennis-ball had never seen her like this, but he knew it would come eventually. He kissed her forehead gently and kept on hugging her despite the endless waters flowing onto him. He smiled at her painfully, knowing that though the pain came out now, she would be free of her burden.
"T-Tennis-ball.." She whispered quietly, her sob spree ending. "How are y-you, so — p-perfect..?"
"Both you and I know that's not true..."
"But it is!" Golfball announced, not stuttering anymore. "Everyone likes you, you're gentle to everyone and so .. righteous.."
"And you're not..?"
"Mmm.. everyone disagrees with me, they think I'm bossy — they dislike me , they mock me and talk about me behind my back.."
"Listen. Golfball, no one sees what I see in you, everyone thinks I'm crazy for being friends for you.." Tennis-ball lightly took Golfballs chin and pulled it up to face him. Golfball stared at him lightly, a glint in her misty eyes. She didn't say anything, just staring.
"Golfie what's wrong?.. Why are you — looking at me like that..?"
"W-What are you doing to me!?" Golfball blushed furiously looking at TB, her lip curving into a jittery frown.
"It's called appreciation Golfball.." Tennis-ball hummed in GB's ear.
Golfball stared shocked at Tennis-ball , blushing hard. Tennis-ball kissed her lightly on the cheek, trying to see her reaction. She pushed him away softly and turned around.
"D-Did I do something wrong..?" Tennis-ball asked, his voice becoming a bit concerned.
"No..I'm just.. uhm - ahh.." Golfball stuttered , turning to face TB.
"Hmm..?"
"I-I uhm , love you too, Tennis-ball.."
Tennis-ball smiled and hugged Golfball. She returned the hug , muttering a bit. Golfball let go and sat up, looking down at Tennis-ball. He glanced expectantly at her, blushing slightly. "I think it's time to properly sleep..not something I'm good at.." Golfball lays down and falls asleep in Tennis-ball's embrace slowly.
Tennis-ball falls asleep aswell, a burden off his shoulders aswell.
