Leafy walks around Yoyle-city, basking in the autumn air. Pin had promised she'd have a 'date' with her today, but she wasn't sure if it was going to actually happen.
Ever since objects from Inanimate Town and others places found out about Pin's bakery, business was booming for her. She barely had time to make time for her lemon leaf.
Speaking of which, Leafy stands infront on the said bakery, feeling its warm presence. She smiles softly, thinking of the woman inside and rings the bell.
"Come in!" A slightly scratchy voice calls. Leafy smiles and opens the dark oakwood door. Her feet patter softly against the floor. The whole place is being decorated for autumn. Inside, Saw is putting up warm orange lights. Saw greets the leaf with a grin. "Hi Leafy! If your looking for Pin , she-"
"I'll know where she'll be, don't worry!" Leafy smiles back and walks to the end of the reception. She hears soft humming and walks in the kitchen. Pin doesn't notice she's there. At the moment, the pushpin is whisking donut dough . Leafy sneaks up behind her and hugs her.
"Hello to you too darling.." Pin chuckles softly. She puts the white bowl down and hugs her back. Leafy smiles at her and hops onto her 'shoulders'.
"Woah! Hold steady!" Pin stumbles and eventually gets her placed properly. Leafy rocks her legs slowly in the air. "Are we staying here or..?
Leafy asks. "Fine, we can make the cookies.." Pin smiles gently and picks Leafy down. "Alright, let's get to work." Pin rolls up her sleeves.
"I'll tell you how to make it, and you'll be doing the action, got it?" Pin questions. "Okay Pinny!" Pin rolls her eyes playfully at Leafy's nickname.
"Alright , here are all the ingredients."
½ cup granulated sugar (100 g)
¾ cup brown sugar (165 g), packed
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter (115 g), melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour (155 g)
½ teaspoon baking soda
4 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate chunks (110 g)
4 oz dark chocolate chunk (110 g), or your preference.
"Okay, First of all, put your sugar, butter and salt in the large bowl."
"Got it!"
"Now stir it together until there are no clumps."
Leafy does as said and stirs for a while. "Could you play music?" She raises an eyebrow. Pin nods and plays ; 'TICTAC' .
"Yay!" Leafy exclaims. "Is it supposed to be like this?" She gives the bowl to Pin. "Yup, just like that Leafs."
"Next, add in the eggs and vanilla extract and continue beating it. I'll tell you when to stop." Pin walks behind her and holds her waist. Leafy's face flushes softly but she whisks the paste. She continues to whisk, her hands getting tired. "Is this enough..? My hands are tired..." Leafy whines. "You're almost there Leafs. Just take a small break to stretch your arms and keep on going." Pin replies.
Leafy stretches out her arms , releasing her stiffness. She feels better and continues to whisk the batter. "There we go." Pin interrupts.
"Alright, now you need to sift in the flour and baking soda." Pin instructs. "Why can't I just put the flour in like that?.." Leafy puts her hands on her hips. "Do you want lumps of flour in your cookies?~" Pin asks in a sing-song voice.
