Episode 11 Continued - Her Butler, Careless
The audience cheered then, screams of elation echoing through the entire tent as another scattered applause burned through us.
I gazed around nervously through the darkness, searching for him but it was way to black...
What was he planning? What was the point of all this?
But I suddenly felt my arm get caught, and I gazed up in alarm when Sebastian scooped me up.
He took one leap to the top seats and darted out the entrance, carrying me out before setting me gently onto the ground.
I glared at him. "What the hell was that?"
He just smiled. "Well... you did tell me I could put on a better show."
I stared at him then, hoping he wasn't serious.
There was no ulterior motive...? He just did that because I was bored?
This demon.
Sebastian pulled me to the side then, earning a squeak when the entire crowd burst out from the doors of the tent and made their way toward the other parts of the carnival.
"Careful, you might be famous now," I said then, gazing up with a smirk. "Hide your face!"
He just gave me an amused look. "Master, don't tease me so."
My smile widened. "I'm the one who gives the commands here, you just listen."
He sighed in annoyance.
"And was that play seriously called 'Freak Show' just because it was about two dolls falling in love?" I said then, shaking my head. "I don't get the appeal."
"They're doll's, master," Sebastian said then, smiling slightly. "Monsters in other people's eyes. All of these costumes are based of inhuman creatures which is why people dress up like them. They like the appeal of being abnormal."
"That's very observant," I said then, "coming from a demon."
