misaki leaned on the doorframe as the blonde stepped outside of the quaint house. it was already late in the night so bakugo didn't want to stay late, mostly because he didn't want to deal with his mother screaming in his ear about where he's been. misaki's grandma quickly grew fond of the blonde because of how entertaining and helpful he was.

"thank you for dinner." bakugo mumbled to the old woman, bowing in respect. "oh! you're welcome to join anytime, dear." she smiled warmly at the boy "you have to stay longer next time so we can play board games!" she added happily. misaki sweat dropped. the boy nodded in acknowledgment and began to walk off towards his house, her grandma leaving to go inside.

"see you tomorrow, firecracker!" misaki shouted into the distance, at which bakugo irked and flipped her off. the noirette snickered and closed the door, being met with a sly smirk from her grandmother. "what?" she asked the woman suspiciously. "is he your boyfriend?" the aging woman smiled knowingly, raising an eyebrow teasingly "if so, i approve."

"what?! no!" misaki flushed in embarrassment, hiding her face in her palms "he's just a friend, ōba-chan!" she whined.

"that's what i said about your grandpa," the old woman snickered "look where that got me."

a week later, bakugo and kirishima strolled down the streets of musutafu. the sun rays shone down onto the city which reflected on the tall buildings adorned with glass. the slight breeze ruffled their hair as they made their way to school.
kirishima blabbered about his idol, crimson riot, and how awesome he was. bakugo replied with grunts and nods, though his thoughts wandered.

the blonde looked slowly around, wondering where a certain black haired girl was as they passed her house. his spiky haired friend noticed this, "if you're wondering where misaki is," kirishima spoke "she texted me yesterday that she's walking to school with midoriya." bakugo irked at the mention of his green haired rival, even if it was a one sided rivalry.

"wait you have her number?" the blonde shot his friend a look. "yeah?" kirishima cocked an eyebrow "you don't?" he questioned. "no." bakugo rolled his eyes. "are you jealous?" the red head teased, craning his body to look at bakugo's face. "course i ain't! go fucking die!" the blonde growled in annoyance, crackling little explosions on his palm threateningly. kirishima snickered as he backed away.

the red head continued to make small talk. they neared the familiar building that was caged by large, looming walls. they walked through the archway of ua and through the doors, switching their outside shoes with their school shoes. the duo maintained the one sided conversation until they reached their classroom.

"good morning!" kirishima grinned happily, waving enthusiastically at the trio. mina and misaki waved back with a smile whilst jiro nodded at the duo in acknowledgment. bakugo scowled at misaki as he dropped his school bag next to his table. the girl just smirked in amusement.

"how're you guys feeling about the sports festival?" mina questioned her friends as they migrated over to bakugo's table to include him in the conversation. the blonde just irked, obviously irritated. "i'm pumped!" kirishima grinned proudly "i'll finally be able to show off my quirk to the pros!" he flexed his biceps.

misaki hopped onto bakugo's desk, kicking her legs as she conversed with her friends. the girl bit back a laugh when she saw literal steam coming out of bakugo's ears. "get off my desk, you pest." the blonde growled. misaki simply pursed her lips together before she hopped off bakugo's desk and crouched down to reach her bag, digging through it's contents before taking something out.
