The droplet of rain was racing with others on the other side of the glass and I aimlessly traced them as if I could possibly impact their pace.

I sighed in infinity of my sorrows as I tried to distance myself from all the voices in the bus.

I was just calmly sitting in my seat on the right and wanted nothing else than to come home in peace and quiet.

As much as I was silencing the loudness in my head, I couldn't do it anymore as now the bus driver was screaming.

I woke up from my daydream of a calm drive so now I was peeking over the seat in front of me to see a guy waving his hands and the driver looking like he will strike him any time now.

He looked ballistic and this stranger guy was the reason behind his raging face that was about to burst with insults and curses if someone didn't step in.

What happened next is definitely something I hadn't planned on.

I swiftly got out of my seat and went to the front of the bus.

"Wait wait stop, he's with me. What's going on sir?"

Even though he was in a fit of rage he managed to look at me and then accusingly pointed at the guy that was now next to me.

"This, this maniac! He wants to enter without paying!"

I laughed awkwardly trying to calm the tension.

"Oh, wait sorry. I was supposed to be there to pay for his ticket. I'm sorry sir, here you go."

I reached into my already wasted and almost empty wallet and pulled out the 30 dollar note that was left there.

I push it into the angry man's hand and brush off saying he can keep the change.

I motion with my hand for the unknown guy to follow me and when we get to my seat he practically falls down into the place beside me.

I really have to stop my impulsive decisions but regretting when I've already done some batshit crazy stuff is going to bring me nowhere.

Wide eyed and now fully awake from any notion of mind-wandering state I was in literally 5 minutes ago.

I let out a breathy laugh remembering how last time my impulsiveness got the best of me I ended up going through the woods five hours with a random kid so he could find his teddy bear.

I mentally slap myself and desperately try to distract myself from the strange scent coming from him.

Ugh, alcohol.

He doesn't quite look like he's from here. I mean, nobody ever looks like they're from this nobody place.

I mean, if you look like a crackhead then maybe I wouldn't think twice, but something just kept tugging at my unconcious by the strings that were still holding itself together.

I still couldn't bring myself to look at his face, but I could see out of the corner of my eye his hand was twitching and I laughed into my hand as I was keeping myself quiet.

I remembered how my brother acted like he was having a seizure and actually fooled our teacher to let him go home.

"What's so funny"

I almost jumped out of my seat at the sound that just evaded from my left but then I finally looked at his face.

He was grimacing and then yawned, probably slept before he came here?

"Nothing" I quickly answered.

"Didn't sound like nothing"

His short brown hair was catered in his left hand while he was reaching out to button off his collar with his other.
