The night after the Mikaelson Ball, Elena wakes up and calls Stefan, needing to talk to him about them. Meanwhile, Stefan is already awake at the Pack Den, writing in his journal at his desk as Blake lies in his bed, sleeping in after their night together. His phone buzzes, and he looks at it to see it's Elena; he declines the call, shocking Elena as she looks at her phone and leaves him a message. "Stefan, hey, umm... it's me. I really have to talk to you. Please call me back," Elena begs pathetically through the phone before hanging up and calls Damon, who is still in bed and rolls over to answer his phone.

"What?" Damon asks, not checking to see who's calling him so early in the morning.

"Hey, I-I called you ten times last night," she replies nervously. "We need to talk."

"Sorry, I've been busy," He says, smirking and looking back at the figure lying asleep behind him.

"If you're mad at me, Damon, you need to get over it," The Doppelganger snaps, gaining some courage through the phone.

"Oh, I'm over it," The older Salvatore Brother sneers, hanging up and laying back in bed, staring at Rebekah as she sleeps beside him.

At the Mikaelson Manor, Lorilei gets up from bed and looks at Klaus as he wakes up. The couple is beginning their day already. "I'm surprised you're up already," Klaus remarks, kissing her neck.

"What can I say? You need to do better," Lorilei teases him. She walks out of the room and grabs her matching silk robe, covering her as she walks out, leaving Klaus to watch her.

"That woman," he mutters, putting on a top before following her downstairs to see her shaking her head as Edward comes down the stairs behind her, his usual controlled and gelled hair now a tousled bedhead

"That woman," he mutters, putting on a top before following her downstairs to see her shaking her head as Edward comes down the stairs behind her, his usual controlled and gelled hair now a tousled bedhead. Klaus watches as she tries calming his messy hair lovingly, and he wishes he could give her a baby that was theirs, but he can't give it to her, and she's cursed never to have children.
