"Mommy, can we–can we read this?" Caliban asked, climbing on top of me with a kid's book about space.

We got to Puerto Rico a couple of hours ago, and it was pretty late. We walked around for a bit, and Temi made a crazy ass tik tok and then danced with Adilyn before we decided it was time to go home and sleep.

Temi surprised the fuck out of me when she showed me my hotel. This joint had two bedrooms in one. It was like a mini penthouse. I'm grateful that the twins and I don't have to share a bed, but Temi thinks I'm about to get my freak on this week, and that's not happening.

"No, I wanna read this one!" Midnight pouts, pushing the book out of Caliban's hands and placing a kid's book about dinos on my lap.

"Hey!" Caliban cries. "Stop it," he starts to whine.

I just stare at the two just for a second, just to remind myself that I'm dealing with two-year-olds. My patience...lord, my patience. "Stop, Midnight," I scolded lightly. "Pick up the book and give it to your brother–and apologize."

Her eyes start to cloud with tears. "But mommy–"

"Midnight, do as I say. You're being mean."

She huffs, pouting as she picks up Caliban's book and gives it to him. "I sorry,"

"I'm, sweetheart."

She squints in confusion. "I–I'm sorry, Caliban?"

I nod. "Yes, you did good."

Caliban wipes his tears and smiles softly. "Is ok," he whispers, getting off me to hug his sister.

I smile to myself. I'm a good mother, right, mom?

Hoping my mother said yes, I sighed, "come on twins, I'll read both books."

Today was my birthday. I don't really like my birthday, but Temi, Adilyn, Jack, and Reign are so keen on celebrating it, so when they asked where I'd like to go, I shrugged and told them, "How about the beach?"

The beaches in San Juan, Puerto Rico, had hide tides, which made me a bit weary about letting the twins roam free.

"You excited?" Jack brushes some of Adilyn's hair behind her ear.

"Yup," she nods, smiling at him.

Temi scoffed as I rolled my eyes. "Ok, Jack what the fuck about us? Don't shove your relationship in our single faces."

"Right," I said, adjusting the stroller.

Jack smirks. "I apologize ladies." He brushed Temi's braids back than mine and Reign's. "There we go,"
