"Fuck you too. You're only saying this because I decided to stop gambling," said Jaxon as he walked to school.
As people stared, at Jaxon talking to himself again
"Come on, I feel lucky today. We might win big. Also, you never quit gambling; your 'special' ability is always on," said the inner Jax.
"You're saying it as if I can turn it off. You know as well as I do, it's always on," replied Jaxon.

"That does not seem good," said inner Jax.
"Ya think?" replied Jaxon.
"We have to be very careful throughout the day so Chance won't work on us."
"You're saying it as if we escaped it before."
"Maybe if you do something unlucky now, it won't work."
"We did that last month. All I got was more broken bones."
As my childhood friend Thorne Ashby and my older brother slapped the back of my head, I was in shock, thinking it was a thug going to kill me. I mean, they're less thug-like than a regular thug, I guess.
"Wow, Jax, it seems you saw a ghost," said Thorne.
"Yeah, my ghost by the end of the day," said Jaxon in a shivering voice.
"I know you have a very important test today. It doesn't mean you're going to die. Just relax because being too stressed will turn you into a grandpa."
As Jaxon eventually reached his desk in his classroom, he opened his book, but the anxiety didn't come down.
A truck came through the window and crushed him.
"How?! I was on the third floor! Even a fire would've made more sense!"
As a fire started around the truck,
"Fu—"
As the truck exploded,
