"This wasn't supposed to happen."
-------
"Ready to die, sweetheart?" Doflamingo asks the seer, glaring at her with dark intent.
Mirai shakes her head, and crosses her arms to make an 'x' shape. "Definitely not. I mean, I kinda have a lot to live for, you know?" She pauses in confusion before adding, "What, did you think I'd say yes?"
"You think you're so smart, don't you, Seer?" the Warlord seethes, standing to his feet. He towers over Mirai and Law; his shadow was blocking out the rising sun.
"Actually, yeah, I do," she replies, grinning widely.
"Stop provoking him...!" Law hisses lowly as he jabs two fingers into her side to get her to shut up.
Mirai hardly flinches. "I'll do whatever the hell I want," she retorts with an annoyed huff. "Now go do doctor stuff and help your crew. I'll deal with the sixty nine foot man with a stick up his ass."
As Law reluctantly goes to do as the seer said, Doflamingo begins to laugh. It starts off as a small snigger, then transitioning to a whole-ass belly laugh. Mirai and Law just stand there awkwardly as this crazy man laughs in their faces, showing no signs of stopping.
"I think the last of his sanity slipped," Mirai murmurs to the surgeon, sweat dropping as the Warlord's subordinates nervously chuckle, following their Captain's lead.
"I don't think he had any to begin with..." Law points out, slightly uncomfortable.
"Maybe he thought my sixty nine joke was funny?" Mirai suggests, not sounding all too convinced herself. "I'll admit, I didn't think it was that hilarious."
"Trust me, it wasn't funny at all."
"Hey!" the seer exclaims in mild offence, lighting punching the doctor's arm. "I am funny. The least you could do is appreciate my humour."
"No."
Finally, Doflamingo's cackles die down before completely halting. As the Warlord catches his breath he says, "Your joke wasn't funny in the slightest, sweetheart. I was merely laughing at the fact that you thought I'd let Law here play doctor with his crew."
"So that's how it is, huh?" Mirai murmurs to herself, a small frown slowly replacing her grin. "You really wanna fight? I'd hate for a princess like you to get hurt."
Law facepalms. He's given up trying to stop this woman from provoking people.
Doflamingo then says the unexpected, "You should join my Family. Be an Executive."
The seer blinks in confusion as his words sink in.
Then...
She bursts into laughter, snickering at the Warlord's invitation. "Me? Join you? Ha! In your nightmares, darling."
Doflamingo hardly looked surprised at her answer, grinning cruelly in response. "What a shame... We could've made a good team, you and I."
"I doubt it."
"Baby 5, Buffalo." The two immediately stand at attention, waiting for their Captain's orders. "Take care of Law."
Baby 5 and Buffalo nod in reply. Doflamingo's demand had no room for arguing and, really, they weren't complaining. They'd be lying if they said they weren't waiting for this moment. The moment when they could fight Law– the traitor.
They're gonna teach him a lesson. A lesson to never cross the Family ever again.
"Aw, I feel so special!!" Mirai gushes, a smirk pulling at her lips. "That means Mingo himself wants to fight me! How cute, you really think you can beat me? I'll have you remember the last time we fought?"
