I lean back in my chair looking through the last of the files, the ones about the DNA-results and autopsy.

I sit straight again and gently place the files on my desk again.

One name comes to mind, the name of a company everyone here is getting more and more familiar with.

"Reed, could you do me a favor?"

She gives me a nod: "Sure."

"Can you maybe get me into contact with the head of 'Neo Brain Farmacy'? It's just a feeling, but maybe..."

"Infiltrate?" She asks and I quickly try to reassure her for no reason: "Of course we won't say that, more like... we're interested or something."

"Vague."

I sigh and lean forward hands formed in an almost prayer: "Please?"

Grey turns to us: "Reed, it might be a good place to start. I too have been having a bad feeling about that company for some time."

Reed crosses her arms: "Fine." And walks to her desk.

It doesn't take long before we get our answer.

"Tomorrow."

"Ah, they have time tomorrow?"

"Yep."

"Great! Grey, are you coming with us?"

Grey gives me a sad smile: "I really don't like places like that and they give off more radiation than most. I would rather not."

"Okay it's fine. Pierce!" I call out to the young man sitting across from me with his headphones on.

As he notices me he quickly removes them and asks: "Yes?"

"Do you want to go with Reed and I to the Neo Brain Farmacy tomorrow?"

Pierce starts to smile: "Yes please!"

Pierce loves his tech, even though he kinda sucks when it comes to computers, he is still an avid gamer. With a special love for especially the sci-fi ones. It will do us good to keep an eye on him if we take him though...

N.B.F. or fully Neo Brain Farmacy is a company that specializes and capitalizes on their brain tech. Being able to let people who normally can't, walk again or make them see again. There are many things they can do, some people really believe that they can make miracles happen.

Obviously I am not one of those.

The next day, Reed, Pierce and I get in my car and let it drive to the company.

The building towers above us as we get inside it, almost like a monster trying to eat us behind a mask of sainthood.

We walk up to the front desk. A man stands behind it, his name tag seems to say 'Carl' and I make a mental note of it.

"Do you have an appointment?" He asks with a professional smile.

"Yes, we have an appointment with mister Cliff." Reed answers with just as much professionalism and more words than she uses to talk to her colleagues.

Carl seems to be shocked, but quickly regains his stature. Does the boss not get many visitors? I wonder if he knows that we're with the police...

"Right, it must have been you who made contact with my boss."

He looks at his computer and types something in: "Alright, if you'd please follow me. I will take you to him."

"Shouldn't there be someone behind the desk?" Pierce asks to my own dismay.

"Don't worry, there will be someone else coming any second now who will fill my spot."
