The bird had finally arrived at his intended destination, Flower Fruit Mountain. Then he landed on the ground with a blue explosion.
The smoke cleared as Wukong transformed into his own form.
After the journey and after moving here with his brother, he changed his clothes.
He was wearing a gold breastplate, a gold jacket skirt with red and turquoise trim, burgundy trousers, a red sash belt, and black boots with gold soles. He also wore a red two-piece cloak and a small golden headdress with two long red feathers.
He didn't like the clothes very much. It was too exaggerated and colorful. But his other outfit, silver armor, his black cuppe with blue snow patterns and a moon symbol and a knight cloak, wasn't that comfortable to wear all the time, so he'd have to make do with those clothes, at least until he found his ladies.
While walking home, Wukong was brooding over what had happened.
That boy now had his staff. He couldn't stop thinking about what if he didn't bring it back to him.
But he should to bring it. He must to bring it.
If he doesn't bring it...
When Wukong arrived home, his thoughts were distracted. He let out a sigh, then opened the door.
But there was no one at home.
Wukong found this strange, because the last time Macaque was here was before he left to find the staff.
Where was he now?
Just as Wukong was about to communicate with Macaque through Astral Projection, he suddenly felt Macaque's presence behind him. Macaque appeared with a shadow portal behind his brother, a key in his hand.
Just like Wukong, he also changed his clothes when they moved into this house.
Macaque's clothes consisted of yellow and black ru, with a black belt around his waist. He wore a brown and gold breastplate crossed to the left and an armored skirt. He wore a torn red scarf that draped over his cloak and black and gold boots. He smiled at his brother as he leaned against the wall.
Macaque: "I'm sorry for leaving without notice, Wukong. It was just that the key caught some energy and I went to see what it was. But it didn't turn out as I expected."
Macaque threw himself into the couch while turning the key in his hand. When he saw that Wukong's still stoic and emotionless face had not changed, he sighed and stopped turning the skeleton key and placed it in his palm.
After what happened, he had neither heard his brother's laughter nor seen his smile. He wasn't sure if this was a result of some sort of trauma, or if those seals had begun to prevent him from smiling just as they had prevented him from crying, but that was beside the point for now.
Macaque: "Your staff was taken and DBK was freed, correct?"
Wukong nod and folded his arms, turning his gaze to the ground.
Wukong: "That kid ruined everything."
Macaque: "Maybe he didn't ruin everything."
Wukong looked at his brother in surprise and raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Wukong: "What do you mean?"
Macaque stood up and went to his brother.
Macaque: "So, maybe that kid can help us."
Wukong still seemed confused. Macaque sighed, then continued.
Macaque: "If that boy can use your staff, he must have your powers. And maybe if I can gain his power, we can find our lady faster."
