The Dissolution of a Family

Everything was going perfectly.

After their ladies left in the mornings, they made plans and had fun with the Brotherhood on Flower Fruit Mountain, and they trained in the evening.

It was a good thing their ladies hadn't found out about this Brotherhood thing yet.

At least they thought so.

Finally that day had come.

The battle with the Jade Emperor was to be fought today.

Everyone had their weapons ready. Wukong also put on his hat and smiled with joy and excitement.

Wukong: "This it, Azure! You and me! All of us!"

Wukong panicked at first when he couldn't find his brother among the team. But then he relaxed when he saw him behind, adjusting his outfit.

Wukong: "Ah! Bud, lemme help with that."

He goes to Macaque to adjust his outfit.

Wukong: “You gotta have it this tight otherwise—"

Macaque quickly retreated when he thought he was being treated like a little child.

He didn't know if Wukong was deliberately acting just like him.

Macaque: "I've got it!"

Wukong stepped back, trying to calm his brother down.

Wukong: "Just checking, just checking. Jeez!"

Then he left Macaque, went to the front of the group and looked at the sky with excitement.

He was so sure that they would win.

He refused to consider the consequences.

Wukong: "Aw, just think. We're all gonna be so many times immortal soon. Ha! Although me and Macaque aren't immortal yet, but-"

While Wukong rubbed his neck nervously, Azure placed a friendly hand on his sworn brother's shoulder and smiled at him.

Azure: "When we triumph in this rebellion, the people will never live in fear. We're about to change everything. It's all because of you, brother!"

Wukong looked at Azure with bright eyes.

This was the first time he had received such a sincere compliment since his brother.

His mother also complimented him sometimes, but for some reason he had never felt such excitement and pride as Azure or Macaque's.

Chuckling, he released himself from his grip, then leaned back against him.

Wukong: "Ah, Azure, you big sweetie. It's going to be you, me, and the boys livin' it up forever!"

After everyone had their last moments, they went to the battle Celestial Realm.

Then the war started.

The war was very competitive, everyone was using all their strength.

DBK fell in love with a Celestial Maiden who attacked him.

Peng and Yellowtusk targeted the guards.

Azure and Macaque attacked Erlang Shern and the 3rd Lotus Prince Ne Zha.

Wukong, on the other hand, targeted the Jade Emperor.

But the Emperor had not yet appeared.

Wukong grinned when he thought that the Emperor was a coward and that was why he didn't show up.
