"What's the question EDI?" I asked. "Jeff said I should pull you aside as its a private matter" she said. "Ok follow me. Alashi think you can find your way back to my quarters?" I asked. "I would like to stay here if its ok I have questions for your Prothean crew member because I don't know about our life before where I was born almost no one does" he said. "Will you answer his questions Javik?" I asked. "If I must" he said. "You'll benefit too...I'll tell you anything you want to know about the Protheans I know" Alashi said. "That is a fair exchange" Javik said. "Ok EDI follow me" I said and left with EDI to the lower part of Engineering. "Jack use to stay here correct?" EDI asked. "Yes she was" I said. "Do you remember fondly the crew from that mission?" EDI asked. "Is that what Joker refused to answer?" I asked. "No" she said. "I do remember it fondly. I may hate Cerberus even more so now but The Illusive Man gave me a good ship and Crew so I can't complain much" I said. "I see...Shepherd....why did your heart rate increase once you saw our Elvan guest?" She asked taking me by surprise. "Wh.....what? It....it increased?" I said surprised. "Yes I was monitoring your heart rates as you took out the base and the only other increase was Liara. I already asked her and she said it was from discovering a long since thought extinct race alive and well. Why did yours?" She asked. "Is this what Joker refused to answer?" I asked. "Yes" she said. I then thought back to the base when he stood up.....it made my heart race, he was so beautiful and mysterious. To think he is an entire new race in this Galaxy.....He's older then me a lot! Much like Liara is. I remembered saving Liara....she seemed like such a clutz I didn't expect her to be over 100. He is over 200 but looks no different then like 20-21.

  "I truly don't know...you said my heart rate increased? My heart also beat faster then normal" I said. "Do you love him then?" EDI asked. "Love? What makes you think that?" I asked. "In my research I discovered that an increased heart rate and speed are signs of love or someone falling in love" EDI said. "Did Joker's heart rate increase when he saw your new body?" I asked. "It did which is why I called him on his bullshit when he said I didn't have to conform to some feminine ideal to impress him" she said. "I see.....I don't know truly" I said. "Spend time with him Commander maybe it will reveal its self to you" she said. "I will thank you EDI" I said. "Commander we are about to arrive at the Citadel might want to get our new friend ready for his appointment with the Alliance" Joker said over the comms. "On it Joker thanks" I said. "I should return to the bridge" EDI said. "Of course" I said and she left.

  "The one's I know speak of a hero called Javik so they must mean you" I said. "I was a commander in the military I was supposed to keep everyone alive during the invasion of the machines. I failed...." he said. "So the reapers are a race of sentient machines?" I asked. "Yes....they are the reason behind the extinction of my race and your's. Now they have returned to bring these races to their knees and wipe them out" Javik said. "What do they look like?" I asked. "You will see them for yourself soon enough" we heard the Commander say. We turned to see him standing in the doorway. "I hope so....talking with Javik the pattern seems too familiar to me...but I can't place why" I said. "It's time to get ready for our meeting with both the council and Alliance Leadership" he said. "Council?" I asked. "They are the leaders of this Galaxy so to speak" Commander said. "I see....very well" I said. "Wait! Is there a girl named Kasika where you live?" Javik asked. "No I'm sorry but one of my neighbors spoke her name before if that helps" I said. "It does thank you Elf" he said and turned around. "Elf?" Commander asked as we boarded the elevator. "Its what the Protheans called my people" I said. "As well as mine over 100 years ago" he said. "Oh?" I said. "Yes there were things called video games the fantasy genre in particular featured Elvan or Elves as my people called them. They weren't really Elvan just a race of ever lasting beautiful people" He said. "That sounds very similar to my people. We are all quiet beautiful even the most masculine male is still somewhat pretty" I said.

"How masculine are you where you are from?" He asked. "I'm what is called a Suma-elvar in English terms I am a flexible man my skin is elastic almost. I can squeeze into very tight spaces like air ducts with ease" I said. "Is that rare among your people?" The Commander asked. "Among the men yes. Most of our women are flexible" I said. "So your not mono-gender? Like the Asari?" He asked. "No we are not" I said. Then we arrived at the shuttle bay. "You didn't answer my question exactly" The Commander said. "It depends on what your take on Masculinity is" I said. As I looked around the shuttle bay my eyes falling on a soldier doing pull ups. His arms are huge and he seems like a typical man. "Compared to that soldier there I am very feminine indeed" I said. "That is James Vega" The Commander said. "He seems to take his health very seriously" I said. "He's always like that" another man said. I looked and saw before a human male around the Commander's age. "Human, Male, around 34? Hispanic heritage prominent" I said. "Correct I didn't get to introduce myself as I picked you up from the base. Im Steve Cortez" he said putting his hand out for me to shake. "Alashi Uraoc" I said bowing to him instead. "Is that how your people greet each other?" He asked. "Yes we are sensitive to touch" I said. "I see well a pleasure to meet you" Steve said. "Commander we are arriving at the Citadel" another male said over the ship. "Bring us in Joker we are on our way up. Vega! Suit up your coming with us!" The Commander said.
