She was smiling, a rare occurrence in her life. It had been some time since she ever smiled, only ever grunting or having a serious expression in the Void. For the first time in some time, she was surrounded by new friends and the one who was her father in all purposes of the world. She was with her loved ones, yet her heart was not happy for anything at all. And she knew just why she was feeling this way.
The reason that she was sent to the Void in the first place, she still remembers those words clearly. As she caressed the ugly dog that was now in her father's hold, she could only think of the man that she had fallen in love with. Peter Parker, a nerdy yet handsome man that had saved her more times than she could remember. She only stayed in Canada for about a month or so before she returned to the United States, more specifically to Queens.
"Hey" Her thoughts were interrupted by the man she was cloned from, his eyes looking at her in a mixture of confusion and worry. Her eyes noticed that he was more confused than worried, something that was acceptable since this version of the Wolverine was from another universe where she did not exist at all. "Something wrong, kid?" She looked down at Dogpool, the ugly dog that did not return to the Void because of Deadpool. Now that she was free from the void, all she could think of was of the boy she fell in love with, the reason as to why the Time Variance Authority sent her to the Void. She was supposed to not fall in love with the boy, or so said the various officers that had kidnapped her and pruned her out of her existence and into the wasteland where she learned to survive along with a few others. "I may not be your Wolverine, but I can try my best to hear you out"
"Thanks... But it is something that I have to do by myself..." She gave a small smile, but it mostly reflected the sadness in her heart. She didn't want to involve others in her business, it was something that she needed to solve on her own. So, she distracted herself with Dogpool while her mind was trying to forget about her past. But as hard as she tried, she was still there thinking about the boy that she held close to her heart.
Time Skip
She sighed, walking through the bustling streets of New York. A familiar yet different city, it had passed so long since she's been back in the city. She hoped to find him, to see him once more and finally tell him just how much he means to her. Yet, it was like he had disappeared as no sign of the boy she loved was ever around. But she didn't give up, her senses kept on helping her in finding the slightest of hints towards finding Peter Parker.
"Maybe he's in school..." She muttered under her breath, walking aimlessly through the city. She vaguely remembers a school nearby, so she could probably check there. As she walked to the school's location, her nose detected a very familiar scent. She opened her eyes wide, a scent that she had been searching for quite some time. She looked around, instinctively sniffing the air to find the person she was looking for. Thankfully it didn't take long to find the scent she was looking for, her body running to the location that she had perceived the smell from.
She was excited and scared, emotions reflected on her beating heart. She hoped that he still knew of her, she didn't want to make things uncomfortable between the two. A dream that she had all those days in the Void was finally turning real, and it only made her heart beat even faster. She was close, she could feel it in her adamantium coated bones. She was going to see him very soon, yet she was scared because she didn't know what she could say to remedy what had happened.
It was then that she saw him, or at least who she thought was him. Her eyes look at the intricate design of the suit the man had. It looked sleek, probably kevlar if she had anything to say about it, and gave out a slight sheen when hit against the lights. The crimson red and black suit was unique in her eyes, with a silver webbing pattern that only was shown again in the spider-like emblem the man had on the chest area. The same applied to the mask he was wearing, yet she noticed that the lenses had a black outline. And it was then, that with all the pieces in front of her, that she knew exactly who Peter Parker was. He was the hero known as Spider-Man, one of the many heroes that Cassandra Nova wanted in her little dictatorship rule back in the void.
