Leah's POV
"You're good at math right?"
"Possibly..." I looked at Coach puzzled.
"I need you to tutor one of the freshman. I can't afford anyone to have any issues with their grades."
"Okay yeah fine. We can do it after practices." I shrugged. I am really good at math.
"Great, it's Segura. She'll be happy to hear someone is willing to help."
"Uh coach-."
"Thanks again Leah."
"Fuck..." I whispered under my breath as I walked away from her office.
"You look mad." Keira approached me cautiously. We were back to hanging out a lot again. That's the only normal routine besides football that I've had this year. Ever since the year started I've been avoiding hooking up like I used to and I can't figure out why.
I hate it.
"I just got stuck tutoring one of the freshman in math."
"Okay and what's so bad about that?"
"It's Segura."
"Ahhh this will be fun." Keira muffled her laugh by placing her hand over her mouth.
"No it's not. I want nothing to do with her." I rolled my eyes as we walked into the weight room.
"Please tell me you're my lift partner today and not leaving me for Georgia."
"Sure. Only since you've suffered so much already today."
"Thanks."
"What's going on with you lately?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well for starters we're weeks into school and um...well you haven't hooked up with anyone." Keira leaned into whisper.
"I know...I haven't been attracted to-I haven't wanted to at all and every time I think about it...it just feels forced."
"Aww so you're no longer a hoe. That's so cute you've matured." I looked up at Keira from the squat rack tempted to throw the bar off my shoulders and beat her.
"That's not it."
"Okay so what's cock blocking you?"
"I hate that term."
"What's keeping you from your ways?"
"Promise to act serious?"
"Wait Leah is everything okay?" Keira's attitude changed in a moment. I want to tell her, but I don't.
"Yeah I'm fine. Is it crazy that I may actually want a girlfriend?"
"No, but it does depend on who. Past hook up?"
"God no."
"Okay good. Then go for it. Actually dating people is good." Keira nodded her head and I broke into a smile.
"Wanna tell me who you're thinking about?" No way.
"Maybe when I figure things out."
"I'm happy for you Le."
"Thanks?"
"Its nice that you actually feel that way. Think about it."
"About what liking someone enough to stick to one person?" I laughed a bit at the thought.
"Yes Leah. Feeling that way towards someone is great!"
"Yeah and when-nevermind. I forget you have a girlfriend." I shook my head. Keira never even talks about Laura. I don't know when she ever sees her.
