On this day, the Ghoul Restaurant was once again painted in blood. However, this time in was different.

This time, the blood wasn't restricted to the arena where the Scrappers would cut up a human delicacy. This time, no human blood was spilled.

No, this time the estabilishment was filled with remains of ghouls, none of the dead creatures having meet an easy death. All of the corpses had something missing, be it an arm, an leg or some who had their very kagunes ripped out.

A sinister giggle echoes through the building that was once the Ghoul Restaurant coming from the very preparator of this brutal incident. On the very middle of the room stood a man drapped ina dark kimono, his crying mask making his giggles all the more eery.

Kumagawa:[I see...So that's how it is...]

This confirmed it. Someone was trying to use Rize as a generic material to make artificial half-ghouls.

From what he can tell from those two girls, they were also the result of such experiments. Rize is most likely to still be the target of who's behind it.

They got their hands on some genetic material of hers, sure. But it was limited, they need Rize herself to have acces to an unlimited supply.

What those two said confirmed what Kumagawa thought. The falling beams at his and Rize's first date...They were planned.

Not only that, but he was also planned to be a test subject as well because of the damage that a normal human would suffer. He could guess that much from the fact that those two adressed him as their older brother, not being aware that said operation failed.

Of course, those people seem to not be aware of who he is. It wasn't about him, he was just Rize's date from their point of view.

It could've been anyone to make Rize be distracted at the prospect if a new meal. How unlucky for them that from all human males she could've been on a date on, the date was Kumagawa Misogi.

Kazuichi:Kumagawa-san...Are...Are you alright?

Shu:He seems pretty cheerful to me.

Kazuichi:Yeah...Though it's kinda off putting. Anyway, what was that all about!? I didn't know you have sisters...Wait, weren't they ghoul? I heard that half-ghouls can be born, but it's low chances...Kumagawa-san is human, though? Ah, are you like a genetic mutation! You in know, like when a child has different eye color from either parent?

At his very wrong guessing, Kumagawa actually stopped laughing. Both him and Shu fixed Kazuichi with a look.

Kazuichi:Huh? Eh? Why are you two looking at me like that? Did I say something weird?

Shu:Banjo-kun...Were you dropped in the head as a child?

Kazuichi:Huh!?

Kumagawa:[Haha, Kazuichi-chan is pretty funny as well! That's probably why Rize likes you enough not to kill you.]

Kazuichi:Uh...Thank you?

Kumagawa:[To answer your question, they're nor really my sisters...Well, I guess the idea that I'm their brother was never seen as enough to bother explaining the error to them. For now, let's just say things got much more interesting.]

Kazuichi:Huh?

Shu:I agree with Banjo-kun this time. I am comfused as well. Kumagawa-kun, what this whole thing about?

Kumagawa:[Oh, well, I don't mind explaining it to you. But, let's walk and talk. I promised Hinami-chan I'd give her a new haircut and I have a meeting after that as well.]
