"Luka! Hurry up and look outside!"
"I don't care Mom, we've seen them a hundred times..." A young, 8 year old boy grunts as he gets up regardless and walks towards the front door.
The setting is around a decade in the past, and young Luka is living with his mom on the less wealthy side of Peroneau in a humble home.
Young Luka peeks his head out of the door and sees the main event, the royal family seated in the back of a motorcade driving up the road, as most of the other neighbors do the same. He spots another child about his age, seated in the vehicle and did not look happy to be there.
"Mom, I thought the heir to the country was a guy." He looked up, confused.
"That is a guy, goofball." His mom said.
"oh..." He says, walking back inside.
A few weeks go by, and Luka is gathering things in the mountainside. At this time, the mountains were lush with greenery and plants, unlike the present time. It was always quiet up there, however. Nothing to fill the silence but the warm breeze rustling the leaves. Before long, gathering things turned into sleeping as the sun keeps him tan. That was until he was woken up by an odd poke on the forehead. "What the..." he groaned as he opened his eyes, and surprisingly he saw the face of the prince of his country staring back at him, with big round eyes.
"I'm sorry for waking you up, mister." The prince spoke, in an angelic voice.
"It's, uh.. fine. What are you doing, up here!?"
"I snuck away from the manor, hopefully the nanny gets fired." The prince giggled, twirling his long hair. "What are you doing?"
"I come up here all the time. It gets me away from that sloppy town and people," Luka replied. "Won't your parents know you're gone soon?"
"Nope, Dad went missing a long time ago, and Mom, well, no one knows. Don't you keep up with the status of your royal family?"
"No, I guess not. I'm Luka, what's your name again?"
"They never gave me one. As far as I know, no one has even spoken to my Mom since I was born, and Dad is still missing. So I just live with the butlers and nannies that run the manor, they just call me "Prince."
"Oh, that's... interesting." Luka replied, trying to sound genuine.
"You know, it's nice to talk to someone that doesn't just see me as the royal figurehead of the country."
"Well, it's nice to know that the figurehead of the country doesn't hate the poor people."
The prince chuckled. "Hey, Luka, can I take you somewhere?
Luka thought about the proposal for a minute, then agreed. "Sure, just don't kidnap me or something."
Luka was led by his new friend a little ways across the hillside, until they found themselves in a clearing in an area behind the royal manor. It was an odd location, with a bunch of ruined stone pieces scattered across the grass, and a large statue of a beautiful woman in the center.
"This is my safe space, I guess. Something about it just feels so right to me, and that, he points to the statue of the woman the only thing I have to know about what my mom looked like.
"That's your mom?" Luka said, surprised. "She's kinda hot, I can't lie." However, while looking at the statue, he notices a red glimmer from the top.
"What's that thing?"
"What thing?"
"That shiny thing on her head."
"I guess I don't know. I haven't thought of it."
