The newest pirate crew on the seas docked their ship for the first time in the golden sands of this mysterious land. Considering their boat wasn't big enough for the actual docks, they parked in the sand nearby. The trio (including Jojo) walked up to the city streets and started to look around. "Hey, what do we need to stop here for?" Sneeze asked Kev. "Well, we need some food for the trip, some tools to work on the boat, and I guess anything useful that you can find." Kev laughs. As they walk through the market-style streets, they decide to ask for assistance, approaching a stranger for help. Sneeze speaks up. "Hey, what's the name of this town sir? Also, where's a good place to get a bite to eat?" The man replies, "Outsiders, huh? Well, this is the lovely independent Ocenae town! As for food, the place for people like yourself would be Dedd Family Tavern, just there down the road." (pointing to a building down the street) "Thank you sir!!" Kev chirps. "The locals are so friendly, huh!" As he nudges sneeze. They head down the street to get some food.

Kev and Sneeze entered through the swinging saloon doors to the restaurant, and get seated. "This place is nice, huh!" Kev giggled, stacking condiments on each other like a kid in a candy shop. "Jeez, you don't eat out much, do you?" Sneeze sighed, making sure no one was staring. Shortly, a young waiter with a bright smile came up to them on roller skates, handing out two menus. "Welcome to the Dedd Tavern! What can I get started for you today? The Chicken Alfredo is the pasta of the day!" Kevs eyes widened. "That's my favorite! I'll take 2 of those!" Sneeze looked at the menu with a raised eyebrow. "How come there's chicken in every meal you have?" The waiter paused. "Well, it's our specialty here!" Sneeze looked back at the menu. "In that case, I'll take the Chicken Enchiladas." "Great choice!" The waiter scurried off with their orders. As they waited, Kev fed a pecan to Jojo while Sneeze looked around the restaurant. "Hey, uh, Captain, I-" "Please, just Kev is fine." "Right, well, I'm not getting great vibes about this place. I mean, why do those people next to us have sushi if they only sell chicken products?" Kev looked over and back. "You're paranoid, it's probably nothing. You can worry about it when we're wrapped up here. Look, the food is here!" Already digging into the chicken alfredo pasta, Kev continued. "They're probably just Vegetarians!" Sneeze sighed, cutting up with enchiladas. "At least one of us isn't worried.

A half hour later, a waitress came to check up on the table. "How's the food? Can I get you anything more to eat?" Kev eagerly replied. "Yeah, more of the last stuff, that was great!" As the waitress nodded and started to walk off, Sneeze stopped her. "Hey, you kinda look like the waiter that we started with." Turning, she replied. "Oh, you noticed? That was probably my younger brother, we work here for the family that runs this tavern. Actually, they run this whole town in a way." As she walked off, Kev spoke. "I'll have to grab the recipe from the chef of this family, he makes a mean pasta! Hey, look, the sun's setting." They looked outside to see the sun disappearing behind the horizon. Unbeknownst to them, they were in for more than dessert.

In less than a second, while the two men had their heads turned, a massive force rushed up from behind, throwing them across the tavern. Sneeze landed behind the counter with a large crash, into the back of the building. Kev landed in the center of the dining floor. From the shadows, the two waiters from their experience appeared, facing him. The woman spoke up. "Go find the other one, boss will pay us big time for these two." Commanding her younger brother, who ran to go after Sneeze in the kitchen. Getting up, Kev cracked his neck and questioned. "If this is about the bill. I promise we were getting there eventually." The woman laughed, pulling out two pieces of a long, metal staff that snapped into one. "Shut up. I've seen your type, you pirate. Once I turn you and the other in to my boss, I'll fetch enough for both me and my brother to be set for life! She yelled, charging at Kev. Jumping onto the ceiling to dodge, Kev replied. "Your boss!? Don't you have.. I don't know, a JOB!? To make money off your boss? I don't figure this was part of the job description!"

"It's not like that, there's a lot going on you won't understand!" The woman argued as Kev narrowly dodged jab after jab without attacking back. "Are you sure? I'm a pretty good listener." She sighed. "Fine... Me and my brother were forced to work here, for the Dedd family. When we're strong enough, we can stop serving for them. Until then, we're tasked to take in every disgusting pirate like you in order to be taken care of. When you're turned in, you'll be taken to the family and charged with piracy, probably made into a slave for the family if you're lucky." Kev smiled, raising a fist, which was glowing a blinding white aura. "Unlucky for you, I'm always charged." In a single movement, he brought down a slamming punch into the wooden tavern floor, causing a crater to form in the center, knocking down the warrior waitress with a yell, and bringing down the already damaged dining hall they stood in. After a moment, They both stood up in the wooden rubble. Rubbing his hand, Kev got onto his feet. "Ooph, that was a bit more energy than I meant, damn." The woman got up, astonished and grinning, as she threw her apron and vest aside, and started to charge up a strange light from her staff. "Just who the hell are you supposed to be, Flashlight?" "Flashlight, huh? that's a new one!" Kev laughed. "My name is Kev blevin, and I'm going to free the entire world in order to save people like you and your brother! And I'm not the type to give away my name to my enemy without learning theirs."

..."Very well then Flashlight. My name is Shambles, the Blackgold Bandit.

And my younger brother is Litz, the Blade of Ocenae."
