Indiana Fever's second preseason game in Atlanta, the team had flown out a day early and was getting to the hotel, 2025.
Nora was prepared for the worst, she had bought a new small can of pepper spray and attached it to her car keys in case Caitlin attacked her in the night, and brought extra pairs of clothing in case Caitlin tried to prank her.
Caitlin on the other hand was just trying to ignore the whole situation. She had the chance and ability to book a separate hotel room and leave Nora alone in the room, why Caitlin didn't do this was beyond her.
The team's bus pulled up beside the hotel and everyone got out, filing into the lobby with their suitcases, duffle bags, etc. Once everyone was given their room keys, they all split up into the rooms.
Nora pressed the keycard to her and Caitlin's room, pushing the door open and going inside. Caitlin followed after and shut the door.
"Oh good," Nora breathed a sigh of relief. "There is two beds here." She left her suitcase and duffle bag beside the bed.
"Were you worried about there only being one-?" Caitlin raised a brow her eyes narrowing as she set down her bags as well.
"Well have you read those books? Whenever two people who don't like each other have to share a hotel room, there's always an issue and they have to share a bed!"
"I've never heard of that being a thing.." Caitlin made a confused face at Nora.
"Trust me, it's a thing."
Caitlin gave Nora another weird face.
"Don't judge me!" The two were almost getting along like friends, this hotel thing was working.
"Alright.." Caitlin rolled her eyes before sitting on her bed, getting back on her phone. Texting someone.
Nora tried to see who Caitlin was texting "You use your phone a lot.."
"Yup." Caitlin didn't even look up at Nora.
"Who are you texting?" Nora moved over and sat beside Caitlin.
Caitlin looked at her now, moving slightly away. "Why should I tell you?"
"Well I'm curious.."
"Stay curious." Caitlin stood up and sat down on Nora's bed, now the two had swapped beds.
"Get off my bed-" Nora said as she remembered she was sitting on Caitlin's bed..
"You get off mine first!" Caitlin smiled slightly, her phone still in her hand.
"Okay lets switch back then!" Nora stood up
Caitlin rolled her eyes and stood up as well, sitting back down on her own bed as Nora did the same. The two were silent for awhile, Caitlin was texting while Nora was scrolling on Instagram.
Nora broke the silence and spoke up. "It's kind of awkward just sitting here silently.."
Caitlin replied nonchalantly, "I don't think it's awkward."
"It is so awkward.."
Caitlin sighed and looked at Nora. "Okay, it's a bit awkward."
"See! Silence is so awkward. Especially because we don't like each other."
"Just put on some music or something.."
Nora smiled, "Good idea." she got on her phone. "What kind of music should I play?"
Caitlin sat back and put her phone down, laying back with her arms on the bed. "Whatever you want.."
"How about.. Kendrick?
Caitlin sat up straighter and faced Nora from her bed. "Kendrick Lamar? You're joking right?"
"No?" Nora's confused.
